Perfect for my purposes
I needed something that was going to hold the weight of a 27 inch monitor behind my music keyboard. I first tried having the built in music stand hold it, but it was too flimsy. Then I found this little table. It's perfect, and fits pretty snugly between the back of the keyboard and the wall. Because it's just a pole on a tripod with a surface on top, it is able to squeeze in where something with a wider middle section like a mini bookshelf would mean the entire keyboard would have to be pushed out into the room even more. It's pretty stable as well. To fit it in, I didn't even extend the tripod legs fully and it's on carpet. There is some wobble, but it's sturdy enough to use a surface for a mouse. At any rate, I'm not worried about it falling over at all. Great little table. It's pretty straightforward assembly as well, although with the way the surface attaches using 4 screws with washers, it'd be a real hassle to assemble and disassemble for gigging purposes. It is lightweight though, so if you had enough room, you could just toss it in your truck or van without taking it apart. Fortunately for me though, I don't need to take it anywhere.

Perfect as a Laptop or Mixer stand but not recommended as a music stand.
As a extremely active musician, I'm using this high quality stand/desk/workstation as a laptop or a mixer stand and it is perfect for that. It's strong enough to hold a projector or a studio speaker too. It's very sturdy, compact and quick to setup. It is described well on the Amazon posting because this tray is pretty large. It could fit a large laptop (like 17") comfortablely. You could also fit a 24 channel unpowered mixer. This stand would NOT make a very good music stand since there is a very small lip all the way around. Sheet music, printed speeches or presentation notes would probably fall off if angled too sharply. I would say it's also not ideal as IPad stand if you need to rest it on a lip and angle it sharply as some musician might may require. Generally this stand is better used where it is flat or just slightly angled. NOTE: PYLE does not claim that it should be used for sheet music. This product is everything they claim and they are a company with integrity. I have purchased speaker stands from them in the past and they have excellent customer service.

Beefy, portable desk! Wish there was a way to give it 4.5 stars!!!
Great product. Only issues are minor engineering matters. Well worth the money and I wish there were a way to give it 4.5 stars! While this stand is really helpful and feels well built, the only few things preventing me from going a full 5 stars are - the lip around the top edge is about .25 in and could stand to be closer to .5 to prevent a laptop from spilling over the edge - but this is a really picky critique. The tripod legs are a beefy 1" so I have NO fear of it tipping over or collapsing. The surface is REALLY SPACIOUS - it's got room for my 15" MacBook Pro, extended Bluetooth keyboard, AND Bluetooth mouse - it's almost a portable desk for crying out loud! While some may worry about the top being plastic instead of metal, it comes down to cost and weight. The difference between ABS plastic and a metal surface is probably less than a pound, but there's something nice about being in the under 5 lbs classification and the plastic so far seems tough enough for a stand under $45. The last critical matter is that I wish the surface could be more easily removed for speedier portability. You're not going to carry a 16"x20" surface under your arm - it needs to be stowed in a case or gig bag. Being able to unclamp the surface and stow it in a bin or bag _without_ having to deal with removing the wingnuts and screws would be a real 5-star game-changer. Again, I'm being really picky-picky with these matters. Otherwise, I'm very pleased with the purchase and look forward to using it on the road and even in my office for impromptu Zoom meetings.

Sturdy and Reliable Stand
Purchased this stand after reading reviews and comparing against similar models. Assembly is easy, really just the mounting bar, which screws into the tray. The base is sturdy and adjustable in height and angle. The tray is larger than I expected and has a textured surface, so things don't easily slip off. We have used it to hold a projector and a large laptop, which are both fairly light. I would be cautious when using it for anything over 10 lbs, maybe secure it so that it can't tip over. It is very light weight, so transporting was easy and I like the way the tray folds down to make it even more compact. Overall, a great little stand at an affordable price.

Nice little table.
Works great for a quick set up table for a micro DJ system. I use with a MacBook Pro, a laptop stand, and a small DJ controller. Table top plate is the perfect size for this application 20 x 16. No concerns about the weight but know; this is not for a large, heavy controller. Height adjust to 48 inches on the one I received, even though the specs say max height 41 inches. (Appears to be a newer model) Light weight, but pretty sturdy. There is a slight lip on all 4 sides of the top table and the table appears to be made of a less slippery material that works great with the ruber feet on my equipment. These 2 features help keep everything in place. Easy to put together. Great price. No issues with the tilt. I use it flat and tension holds perfectly! Really nice design

Great Value - Hope the resting plates are sturdy enough
Full disclosure, I have only used these in rehearsal and not "in the field." The stands are well made, easy to adjust and assemble. The tops appear to be substantial, but are made from ABS plastic. I know I will need to be careful not to drop them on a hard surface since ABS does shatter relatively easily. That said, so far, so good. I will be using these in a show this week so that will be the true test. I ordered two, one for each side of the stage. The top plates have a raised edge that might prevent things from falling or accommodate a piece of felt or "mouse pad" material to help it serve as a small close up magic table. They fold up nicely and I can fit them into a checked luggage bag.

The tripod shaft broke after 1.5 years
The labtop/DJ projector tripod stand is such a great concept! I ordered one, and loved it, and so I ordered a second so they could complement each other on set or in office. The tripod the table, and the gear heads are sturdy, or at least they can be with the proper tightening of the mounting unit. I use one of the stands to hoist my laptop above me, when I am in my room, or outdoors. Then I adjust the height accordingly. However, after about a year's use, one the projector stands was destroyed. The table top piece was beginning to wobble and I could not figure out why. I could not see that it was the metal aluminum that the shaft is made of, starting to bend and eventually would break. I could not tell that was the issue. I kept adjusting the knobs and changing the position, height, thinking the knob was just not set tight enough to prevent the shaking and wobbling. But then one day the shaft completely broke away, and the tripod fell apart uselessly. Luckily I saw the tabletop falling, and I held onto the laptop before it all fell to the floor. I'm not sure why the metal aluminum gave out. It must not be the strongest material. I'm not sure what I could have done differently to take better care of it. It seemed that this specific tripod was defective, not the other one, because I used both about equally. It did not break apart while under warranty, so it lasted just long enough to not be eligible for returning. It lasted about a year and a half. The second one I am still using, two years after purchase. Conclusion: it is a great piece of furniture and can be used in a lot of ways. The material's strength or quality could be better.

High quality, the platform is rock solid, and does not slip.
I had ordered a cheap stand online and had to return it. This one is very sturdy and well-made. It’s exactly what I’m looking for even though it’s a little more money it’s worth it. The platform is very secure when you lock it in place and it does not move unlike the cheaper models that I tried earlier
