This is so much more than a code reader. Paid for itself the first use, my previous code reader told me all 4 of my O2 sensors were bad, this didn't seem right but local shop wanted 200.00 to hook it up and see what was wrong. Ran a scan with this tool and found that voltage to one sensor was off, which showed me only one was bad. replaced one sensor and reset codes and problem was gone. saved me hundreds of dollars and now I have an awesome tool to boot. So when my friends have check engine light I can charge them 20.00 and tell them what is wrong. Thanks Man.

I'm new to using obd2 scanners but I've seen others use it for years. I do my own vehicle maintenance from brake, oil, filters, and other things. I have worked on Hondas, Toyotas, and Subarus. My honda recently got an srs light. Ive read some good reviews on the launch CRP123E. So ordered it and used it for the first time. Start up and updating the unit was quick and easy. Plugged it in the 2003 Honda accord LX and found driver seat belt buckle needed replacement due to faulty switch. Replaced and cleared the codes. Srs hasn't been on since. Unit works on a 2005 toyota 4runner, 2009 subaru wrx, and 2003 honda accord. It found the Vin in seconds. Can't wait to use more of the functions that it offers.

Great little code reader for the price. I am a professional automotive technician with nearly 20 years of experience. The advertisement of the TPMS activation tool may be a little misleading. The TPMS tool is only suitable for GM vehicles. I own launch X431 pad II and a launch Creader VI and I love them both. The CRP 123E is super convenient, particulary for reading SRS codes on vehicles that I repair for body shops. Buy with confidence.

Seems pretty nice, and covers a wide range of vehicles. The wifi connection, and update feature is very useful. It gives a nice diagnostic report, and is able to connect to the web browser too for looking up codes, and parts in more detail. I have a 2005 Volvo and it worked for me for reading the system codes my cheaper one couldn't. It also charges through the OBDII sensor, and with a separate USB adapter. The cool thing is I'm not limited to only EU vehicles with this one. I like it, and recommend it for it's overall versatility.

I purchased the scanner for what it claimed it could do but found out after getiing it that the maker has put all of the reset and relearn functions that amy other scanner with the same funtionality would have into an app mall that requires purchase of each reset or relearn function. They add ons were $15 each when i recieved the scanner but jumped up to $50 after the last update and they also added a fee of $100 per year per manufacturer of car that ends up being $1200 per year to keep up to date an essentially basic code scanner with a fancy display if you dont purchase all of the add on resets in the app mall. If i wanted to pay 1200 per year i would have bought an autel for that price that gives me bidirectional control and the ability to recode almost anything i could want. This scanner i hoped would be a good deal for the money but made false promises and became more of a miney pit than autel, snap on or matco and at least those would give me bidirectional control that comes with the $1000 plus price tag.

setting this thing up was an absolute cake walk. Super simple and was compatible with my vehicle right out of the box. I did have some codes that were present at the time of receiving and this allowed me to reset my idle as the other procedures performed did not work.

Nice comprehensive scanner. Perfect for the DIY person or vehicle enthusiast. Great build quality with a rugged rubberized shell, nice 5” 720x1080 color touch screen, and includes a nice soft zippered case to keep it protected and organized. Works well on the 4 different vehicles I tried it on, including a 2005 GMC Duramax diesel, 2008 Mazda 5, 2016 Nissan Rogue, & even my 2017 Kia Soul EV for the electronic braking system. The automatic vin recognition worked on all my vehicles. You can really do a deep dive into the 4 systems it covers including engine, transmission, ABS, and SRS. Lets you monitor live data and graphing for many of the sensors and monitors. For example transmission fluid temp, wheel speed sensors, diesel injector balance rates, MAF sensor, MAP sensor, brake switch, etc. The list goes on and on. The 7 maintenance or reset modes included are very handy to have, and I was surprised to see they also include related sub systems that can be tested. For example the brake reset feature which allows you to disengage or engage your electronic parking brake and put your EPB brakes into maintenance mode to change the rear pads or rotors, also includes being able to trigger the EPB dash warning lights and a few other related things. The ABS bleeding feature is another that is very handy if applicable to your vehicle. One of the best things I like about this scanner is that it includes free lifetime updates on the vehicles and systems it originally comes with. The 7 maintenance or reset features are also included with lifetime free access. If those are not enough for your situation, it also has access to a mall feature where you can purchase and unlock access to additional vehicles systems and maintenance modes not originally included, allowing it even more capabilities like some of the more expensive scanner models. So far in my testing it’s proving to be a very good value for the money. So much better than the simple code reader I was previously using.
