Couldn't get it to work reliably
I have 10 other Amcrest cameras, but this was the first outdoor bubble cam that I tried from Amcrest. I set it up wired as I do all of my Amcrest cameras, and then unplugged the ethernet, and it would not attach to the WiFi network. I reset to factory defaults and went through the setup again 2 more times with the same result. I never mounted this camera outside because It would not work indoors close to the Wifi access point.Amcrest has issues with their firmware sometimes, and this may be the case with this model. I returned it for a full refund.

Stay away
I have bought numerous products from this company. The software is so buggy you likely won't be able to intall it and troubleshoot it yourself. So you will need to call tech support and they will log on to your computer and do it for you.......Afterwards they will direct you online to the Amazon page to add a positive review. Because you are happy they got your camera working again you comply. These reviews of my previous Foscam cameras this current one broke right out of the box before I could even install it.The fact is the camera and the software and the support is so junky you need their help to keep the camera working. Some features like fttp would not work, leaving you having to open the camera to remove the SD card to get the videos onto your computer. There are better options out there. One last thing is the company started importing one brand then switched leaving the older camera owners without tech support.

Just Great
We just got these and put one on the desk in our warehouse to test. It still has the clear plastic over the lens and it is clear! Bought two of these, one for the front door and one for the rear, will install them in a week, but so far they are just great, super high resolution and no problems at all. Solidly built, and professional, and unbelievable for the price I may even use them at my house. They are supported by their own software for a PC and App which is great, but they also are supported by a Synology NAS if you use one of these at home, etc. Using their software I had them up and running in minutes. They can record based on motion and send you a notification of motion as well. night vision is really very good too. I will be purchasing more of these.

Poor night vision
This camera was a great concept with being wifi and 4MP. Unfortunately the setup and camera settings are cumbersome and the night vision terrible. To setup the camera you have to download and app on your phone. Then to change the ip address you have to download an app to pc. Then to access other camera features and setup add an extension app to chrome. Then some setup features are limited for example date and time overlay and IR intensity. This only lets you view one camera at a time for settings and comparison. Hikvision cameras are an easier setup to a server. One app and a plugin that auto downloads. Daytime picture was great and had good quality. So if you need only for daytime and have a power outlet and do not want to run a wire to camera. Then this may be for you. I sent mine back and ran a poe camera instead. Camera seemed well built and worked with the multimount PFB203.Good luck.

Mostly good, but some drawbacks
This review applies equally to both the Amcrest 4MP wireless bullet and the 4MP wireless dome cameras. I tried both.If you are just putting in a couple cameras, this camera has excellent video quality for the price point. It’s build quality is also very good and the field of view is wider than most of the other brands I tried. The built-in motion detection is hyper sensitive, however and it’s difficult to fine tune (not from a programming stand-point, just functionally). The camera also lacks a built in microphone. Further, the wireless is poorly designed to support only the 2.4 GHz frequency. This frequency offers slightly better range, but with slower data connection speed. At the higher resolution, I found wireless (at least on 2.4 GHz) was not up to the task with even the 6 - 8 cameras I was testing concurrently. This was true even though I have a high-end wireless system that supports large bandwidth. For installations of multiple cameras, I’d recommend a wired POE solution, not wireless. For more details on my experience, read on.I’ve been testing various security cameras for a comprehensive installation at my home. I expect 12 - 14 cameras in total for exterior coverage. I’m looking only at 4MP or better resolution that are OnVif compliant, as I am utilizing QNAP QVR Pro software recording to two NAS units.I have looked at HikVision, Amcrest, Dahua, Lorex, Reolink, Swan, Nest, Foscam and some others. Considering availability of cameras with resolutions of 4MP and higher, OnVif compliance, quality of image (from testing), durability and quality of build, cost, features (such as onboard audio) and both ease of connectivity for setup and ongoing connection to QVR Pro (OnVif), I narrowed it down to Amcrest and Reolink. My testing is not complete, but in the end, I’m probably going to use Reolink 5MP bullets and domes (stay away from the Reolink 5MP turret - it doesn’t perform the same). The Reolink’s have superior image quality (even to the 8MP Amcrest models I tried). They are of similar (good) build quality, cost less, connect more easily and consistently and have a nice sounding built-in microphone. So far, the only complaints I have with the two Reolink units is that they are only available in white (I would prefer black), the field of view is not as wide as the Amcrest and the 8 MP models Reolink offers are not OnVif compliant - so I couldn’t test or consider them. unfortunately, this limits to 5 MP.While I originally thought a wireless solution would be preferable, the limited 2.4 GHz (only) connection used by multiple manufacturers posed connection issues. For me, this eliminated wireless as a practical solution. Thru-put just isn’t there on a 2.4GHz frequency with multiple cameras sending data at higher resolutions. My network - both wired and wireless - is high-end. It supports 2.4 and dual 5 GHz frequencies in MIMU configuration with over 5 Gigs per second combined on wireless alone. My other wireless devices on the 2.4 GHz frequency, continued to work with no issue, so it didn’t appear to be a problem with my router’s capability. it has something to do with the cameras - maybe interfering with each other somehow(?). I can’t say why it posed a problem for the camera feed. I just know that it did. Going to a wired connection via POE resolved the issue.I hope this information was helpful to you.

Initial setup requires Ethernet connection
For the most part I think Amcrest makes great cameras but there are issues here and there. I am surprised that this newer model has the same problem as the IP3M-954W. It's like they just slapped a new lens on a discontinued model. The problem. You CANNOT install this new device wirelessly. You MUST connect via Ethernet. Everything says you can wirelessly but that is false. So do your initial connecting with a wired connection, setup the wireless settings while it's wired then you are good to install on a wall. But beware, the most enfuriating part about this issue is if for some reason you reset the device and have to do the initial setup after its mounted on a ceiling or wall. It means you must physically remove it or get a very long Ethernet cable.
