I absolutely love this series
I absolutely love this series. It is a good size -- easy for travel or just use at home. I use mine as a travel journal of sorts. I take it on trips and as I do each puzzle I record the date and what I did that day. Fun to look back at. I had done all the first degree books and was excited to see the new second degree series out! The puzzles are a good size and print is easy to read. After finishing 6 of these books I am yet to find an error. I used to be a suduko player, but got bored. These books have kept my interest for quite awhile. It takes me about a year to finish each book. I've done several different books over the years and this series has been by far my favorite.

Awesome large puzzle on high quality white paper. Perfect for pencil and eraser.
My absolute favorite brand of kakuro booms. I love the paper it is printed in so I can make lists of notes and mistakes and erase as needed. Honestly I know that’s weird but the paper is one of the reasons I keep coming back to this series. I love the large size puzzles. One per page. I always recommend this when people ask my about the puzzles.

Great fun! Better than sudoku
I love these books! They aren’t spiral-bound so I go through & do all the right-hand pages. Then i rip out the page to do the left hand. Put them on a clipboard. These are so fun if you love adding.

Great puzzle book!
Love this level - exactly hard enough to keep me interested and challenged but easy enough to finish without cheating ! Love the size for travel too

My fist Kakuro book
I've only done sudoku books so I thought I'd branch out. Good quality book. Thick pages. The pages smell a little like a workshop, perhaps the ink? My Will Shortz books smell heavenly. Like a fresh off the press novel. However, this book is not one to go putting your nose in.

Made me feel stupid! I just didn't get it...
Met a woman in a doctor's waiting room who talked me into trying Kakuro. She said that if you love Sudoku and crossword puzzles, then Kakuro is just the thing for you. I tried this beginner book and it just made me feel stupid. I don't get the trick of it even after trying constantly for a week when I was on vacation. I started on the baby-level puzzle and could hardly make it through. Guess I just don't have the brain for it! I'm back to Sudoku and crossword puzzles and feeling smart again. I'm a college-educated person and just couldn't crack how these puzzles work. And figured my marriage would take a beating if I tried to meet the challenge. Now that I think of it, the spouse of the woman I met in the doctor's waiting room said this woman spent hours and hours with her nose in these puzzle books... Maybe not a great thing for a happy marriage. Stick with the Sudoku and crosswords and keep your marriage happy is what I say!

I LOVE these puzzles
I haven't been able to find these puzzles in a while; I learned it as Cross Sums (in Games magazine). I found one app for Android, but there are some things you just need a pencil and paper for so I'm glad I found some books. This one was pretty easy, as is advertised.
