I will try to be as honest as possible because I depend on other people's reviews and feel I want to help the best I can: I looked at many Pencil Sharpeners on Amazon and picked this one because it sounded and seemed more rugged and stronger plus still looking modern enough to fit in on my desk. Once it arrived I was glad I had picked it because it appears well-made. It has weight and feels well-made. It works quickly and sharpens pencils with perfectly centered points. The little rubber feet hold it in place even when pushing the pencil into the sharpener. Only thing I did not appreciate was they had placed a silver sticker on the top of the sharpener warning me to not insert the pencil into the hole crooked. REALLY ? I hate when companies put goofy stickers on products. I purchased this because I liked the sleek totally black look it had. On the good side, I was able to peel the sticker off. It was a metal type that left lots of gooey sticky on the black pencil sharpener. I then took some WD-40 and spray it onto a paper towel and let it drip onto the glue stickiness. In case you are confused, WD-40 has Kerosene in it, which is the best thing ever to dissolve glue residue off items. I was able to clean it up and now you can not tell a sticker was ever placed on it. This works on all stickers. I have even used it to remove sticker residue from products like Record Albums. Just be careful to verify the material will not react to the WD-40 before getting it all over the item. This might be something most people in the world could care less about. Sadly it would've driven me crazy every time I looked at it had I not removed the sticker. I now love the pencil Sharpener and highly recommend it.

I am extremely pleased with my new pencil sharpener. It is very fast & does a great job.

I give it 5 stars. I like my pencils to always be sharp. This unit, so far, does the job! Over and over again. It is fast and makes a very sharp point. It is robust, powerful, and sturdy. I have a sense it may last many years for me.

Very compact, very easy to use, worked great. My only drawback is it’s a little bit noisy. Other than that it’s a great pencil sharpener and it is heavy duty.

I had a pencil sharpener that was nearly 20 years old. It was a great workhorse. This last year though it started making funny noises and didn’t sharpen very well. Then it just stopped working altogether. So I purchased this one. I was unsure about how good it would work, but was hopefully optimistic. Man oh man was I pleasantly surprised. It worked fantastic. I use colored pencils to design quilt blocks. This requires the pencils be a very sharp point and this pencil sharpener does the job extremely well. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because a pencil tip broke off inside of it and I could not find it. Plus it sounded like it was really struggling to work. I did everything that is recommended before I finally gave up. I’ve only had it for about 2 weeks, using only a few hours in the early morning hours before kids are up and it was giving out. The seller was great and sent me a new one in replacement. If not for that I would have gladly given it 5 stars. I’m hoping it doesn’t do that again. I’ll update later.

So far, this sharpener is excellent. It sharpens very fast and the pencils are very sharp. It's heavy enough that it doesn't move as you're pushing pencils into it. It is heavy duty and will not overheat if you have a lot of pencils to sharpen at one time.

My 4 decades old (other brand ) sharpener was having issues. I spent a lot of time taking it apart and trying to fix it only to discover the gear was cracked, then broke in my hand. A googling I went. One critria I wanted was a horizontal entry for the pencil because I keep it in a special cupboard with an outlet, and put the tape dispenser on top. Sounds silly but I planned things out and dislike change when everything fits perfectly. The options were very few, but thankfully the reviews were good for this item. I was also concerned about its ability to do color pencils since I do a lot (grandkids) and read the sharpeners jam up. So far, no problem. (maybe because the pencils are also 4 decades old). It sharpens nicely.

Very nice heavy low profile sharpener with a real 110 plug-in power cord. Replaced a decades old Royal PowerPOINT sharpener. Its design actually looks very close with a slightly more modern design. Works very well at a decent price for a quality design.

Works like a charm! Make sure you get a 220v to 110v converter if operating this in India.

Absolutly huge SCAM useless and dangerous, It is nowhere specified that it is120v on the item description( I have screenshot of the amazon page) and doesn'tfit the 220v of the international sell market !! I think it is intentional to increase the sells !! unfortunately no return available too !!! AGAIN THIS IS 120V AND NOT 220V ,

Potente, no muy ruidoso y se ve de buen material. Saca fácil y rápido sin quebrarla, no queda muy delgada la punta. Pero como todos,.si lo dejas puesto, se acaba el lapiz.

This AFMAT pencil sharpener works so well! I have had this product for about two years and has worked flawlessly! This sharpener has a nice amount of weight that it feels high quality but not too heavy that it feels bulky. When the sharpening box gets full it is easy to empty! AFMAT has put overheat protection in this sharpener. I have only experienced it overheating once but that was after sharpening about 70 pencils! The only downside to this sharpener is that there is only one pencil hole size. If you need to sharpen bigger or smaller pencils that is not possible. Overall an very high quality product
