I have to say that even as a collector it's tough to buy these at $30CAN a figure even though the Marvel Legends lineup is great, it's gotten steadily more expensive over the years and the sheer number of new figure releases is hard to keep up with. Many people have complained that this is not a popular enough of a character to justify making a figure but I for one am happy that Hasbro has been producing a variety of interesting, albeit obscure characters. I mean does anyone really need another Captain America, Spider-Man or Iron Man on their shelf? Great sculpt, good paint and overall really great figure! Also as a collector my thanks to whomever at Amazon packed this for taking extra care and not wrecking the packaging. Again at $30 a figure you don't want a crushed package as these are expensive...but I was able to grab this on Black Friday for $15 so for any of Hasbro's Marvel Legends figure with their unique characters and great sculpts that's a great price and makes this easily a 5 star figure for me!

Marvel Legends is a pretty savvy toy line........they try to address wants from old-school and new-school collectors. Characters from stories of the old days (1960's -1980's) and more recent characters and appearance, like from last week. And then there's characters like Rock Python ( that's MEESTER Python to you!) who just about nobody knows. He's a member of the Serpent Society, and he's already got some team-mates out in Marvel Legends: King Cobra, Copperhead, Eel, Constrictor.......the Society is slowly coming together. Hasbro and the design team like building up these rosters over time..........giving us a mix in assortments. It's smart marketing, and it plays to a wide spectrum of interests. The problem with this character is two-fold: he's obscure, and he doesn't have much to recommend him as a toy. No accessories, very little character bio information. You have to know WHO he is beforehand, or just accept that he's a mostly bland bad guy. As a figure, he's got a decent sculpt, good paint, standard Marvel Legends articulation. He comes with a "happy" Hulk arm as the Hulk appeared in Avengers" Endgame. No other accessories. This is the perennial problem with obscure characters. They are filler for the line, but the drawback is they have no draw. Some accessories that time into who the character is would have helped his appeal, but Hasbro leaves us hanging. It's up to US, the collector, to know who the character is, or to want the BAF enough to buy the figure anyway. I wanted the figure to add to the Serpent Society roster I'm building. I LIKE obscure characters like this because they flesh out the Marvel Universe in toy form. But not everyone collects for those same reasons.
