I don't want to be preached to, or read about the author's virtue signaling through a character.
Boring. This series has taken a sharp turn and is not good anymore. Lindsay is an awful mother. They've turned her husband into a wuss. Also, enough with the politics. They threw in an asinine side story about an illegal immigrant who was in prison awaiting trial for 2 years, for murder. But he didn't do it, because his wife said so. (And it's not "undocumented" immigrants, it's ILLEGAL immigrants.)

Run! Save your Money!
I've read the previous 18 books in this series. This is one of the few books that I have tried to read and just had to stop. I want my $14.99 back. Seems like just a way to milk the series for whatever they can get. Insultingly stupid.

Goes Nowhere Fast
This is one of the worst books in the series. Starts off with a bang, then fizzles out. Too many red herrings. Characterizations are flat. Convoluted, boring plot. And a ridiculous "Epilogue." A total disappointment. Boxer and Co. deserve better.

Political agenda
I was hoping for a wonderfully written, intriguing story. Unfortunately, couldn't get past the poorly disguised political agenda regarding illegal immigration. Only made it through about a tenth of the book. I wish I could get a refund. I hear this story everyday in the news. I don't need to pay a famous author for it. Plus, seems like the writing is being done by an intern of some type. The story is very hard to piece together. Not the story I was looking for.

Strike out!
Ugh, this is a strike out for the Women's Murder Club. I love this series and have read each one. This book was poorly written and way too "fluffy." The book is full of typo's and misuse of words. It's the last Patterson book I pre-order. I'm becoming disappointed more often than not with his books. I've read him for 30+ years. He's had more misses than hits lately!

Done reading books written by Patterson’s CoWriters...HORRIBLE WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME!
I have read EVERY book in this series.....and I have to say this is a waste of $! I honestly don’t think James Patterson even writes his own books anymore. It was disjointed, The main characters “The Women’s Murder Club” didn’t interact at all throughout the book, Lindsey personality seemed to change in this book...it was a shame. I really used to like James Patterson’s books...but as the years go on they feel very disjointed which makes me lean to more and more of his Co-Writers writing the book and slapping his name on it to sell them. Well Mr Patterson, not that you really need my $14.99....but I am DONE PAYING FOR YOUR BOOKS. love amazon but highly suggest using your local library to read ANYTHING by Mr. Patterson.

Confusion, Crime, and Capture....
Another, rather light tale, of the Women's Murder Club. Challenging crime solution of an unusual criminal to keep Lindsay confused as to the actual crime. Enjoyed the story, but felt that this story was rather light. Not up to my usual expectation of an outstanding tale from this writing team.

Okay Story
A police department going into overdrive on Christmas because of random, anonymous tips about a possible crime maybe being committed was too much. Everyone was running in circles with each new fake threat and it became too repetitive and boring after a while. Joe’s mysterious older daughter is finally brought into the storyline which was good because it was weird there was only one mention of her from a past book. Overall, an okay story but it needed more WMC because they never even met up until the end of the book.

The worst yet
The worst “James Patterson” book I’ve ever read, although how much of these books he actually writes these days... who knows. I’ve been a fan for years and own a huge hardback collection of his books. Let’s be honest though... in general they just get worse and worse. It’s impossible to release the amount of novels he does, so how much does he actually write ?In this book, it builds and builds, the women’s murder club don’t even meet until it’s all over, one of them was written out of the whole story, 2 of them had a tiny sub plot, so it focuses on Boxer, builds and builds, and then it’s all over ina couple of pages. Then you have an epilogue that has no bearing on the story at all. Comes on James... how about some quality instead of quantity

A very poor book - poss spoiler to any plot their might be
Thin plot, no explanation as to what the crime was or how the perpetrator was going to benefit from itAbrupt ending and despite the reference to Christmas in the title, there is nothing festive in this book.Apart from Lindsay, other characters just make cameo appearances and do nothing to develop the plot. This wouldn't even pass an undergraduate writers workshop

19th CHRISTMAS (WOMEN'S MURDER CLUB) Expensive paperback!
Somewhat surprised at some of the few negative star ratings. For the most part I found this 19th WMC novel to be one of the best. Boxer and Conklin are on good form, and we get a bit of Julie, Martha, and Joe, as well as other luminaries from Boxer's police life.. The plot truly kept me guessing, and the ending was very satisfactory. A good addition to the series. There is a BUT though. It seemed distracting to have the Immigrant story tagged on as if to just give Yuki and Cindy an appearence even though their story has nothing to do with the main plot. Also...there is an "Epilogue" which again has no bearing whatsoever on what has gone before, and, no spoiler, belongs at the beginning of another novel. 4 stars because I could hardly put the book down. - A word about the price. I paid 16.99 and the back of the book states £13.99. Both prices are too high for a paperback even if it is very BIG!

Most unlikely
Murder, mayhem and mystery. It's a slow burner opening, stick with it as it picks up pace. A most unlikely twist, or rather twists as for once the ending is not obvious even to seasoned Paterson readers. Thought that it was going to be a dud but no it's a cracker.

Excellent storyline and suspense, a "must read"
My wife got hold of this book, and I have not yet seen it !!. She tells me that the storyline is yet again up to the excellent standard of previous "Murder Club" books. The collaboration between James Patterson and Maxine Paetro is very good. The suspense and the flow of the story was very good, and she says that she couldn't leave it for long before going back to read more of it. That is all I need to know, she is an avid reader, and we agree when it comes to reading and "marking" books.
