Fun activity that requires focus and patiences
This is definitely a fun activity for kids who can sit still for a while to dig through the fossil. It is tough and it takes a good while, with concentration, to complete ONE egg. The packaging is great and it doesnt get messy, but once you start chipping the egg, it is dust everywhere!I tried with my 3 yo and it was complete fail because it took too long, but tried again with our 8 yr cousin, it was definitely fun.

Easy to crack the longer you soak. 3 yr old son LOVES them!
My 3 yr old dinosaur loving boy lives these. I soak them for like 10 mins and they are much easier to break into. My only complaint is the dinosaur isn’t always centered so sometimes it’s very easy to find. The egg is more clay, smells just like my high school pottery class, def not cement-like.

Great idea eggs are hard to open though
4 year old grandson loved it! Only down thing about it is the eggs are extremely hard to Crack with tools provided. I watched 3 different adults try to open the eggs. During that time my grandson got bored waiting to get the dinosaur out.

Great toy if it works.
Mine was dead on arrival. So I couldn't say much. Assembling was not complicated for a 5th-grade kid, as was sturdy. Only if it worked I would be thrilled to discuss how to utilize the power of the sun with my kids.

Not what we expected
These create a big huge mess. Make sure you do them outside and on plenty of paper. Even after soaking them they’re very difficult to chip away to get out the little dinosaur.

Fun and educational
My kids enjoyed play with this dinosaur set. They soak the egg in water to let it soft then chip the clay to dig out the dinosaur. It also has the cards that describe the name, the history and characteristics of each dinosaur.

4 1/2 year old loved it
This was a big hit. With supervision, daughter helped amuse the 4 1/2 year old grandson during his post-holiday cold one day.

So much fun!!
Great gift, party favor or activity for kids! A little tough for anyone under 4 to do on their own. Beware this is a SUPER MESSY activity...but my kids loved it!!
