It works.
Salicylic acid and coal tar are two of the best medications for scalp problems, and this shampoo contains both.

Works, but need to experiment with how much time to leave it before rinsing
The product is strong and if you leave it undiluted on your head it seems to over clean maybe as it does not control the problem. If you leave it on too short a time it does not control the problem. My "goldilocks" zone is about 90 seconds, just enough time to wash my remaining body. There are comments about the screw top. It comes with a plug, if you pierce the plug it is a squeeze bottle . I use a sharp knife and make a small x. An ice pick also works. This definitely works for me

Not thick like shampoo
The product works, however, be careful when opening the bottle as it is thin like water. I expected it to be thick like regular shampoo but it was not. Because the bottles are twist off caps with large holes for it to pour out, it wasn't really possible to pour it into your hand without wasting a bunch. So, we transferred it to an empty pop-top water bottle which released it slower and we could put it directly on our head.

It's just okay.
It has a rubber plug under the cap. You have to poke a hole in to use it. But if you squeeze the bottle too hard it will pop out. It's a very poor design. I've wasted more than I used. I couldn't tell that it help my scalp psoriasis at all.

I've been looking for a substitute for Alphosyl since it was discontinued. My psoriasis has become really bad since Alphosyl went out of production & I've used all the usual suspects without success. This product hasn't worked a miracle but its gradually getting things under control again. It comes sealed in a bottle with a thick stopper that needs to be pierced with a stiff pointed object to access the contents. Take your time making the hole so it doesn't squirt in odd directions. Its more of a thin lotion rather than like a regular shampoo, you don’t need a lot similar to Alphosyl. Don't expect miracles but it is definitely helping me after spending a fortune on other brands that in some cases made things worse. Hope it can work for you too.

Given 4 stars, though would rather give 3.5 if that was an option. Great to have the 2 ingredients I'm looking for in the same product, though doesn't work quite as well as a mixture of the 2 shampoos I used previously (MG217 Coal Tar & MG217 Salicylic Acid Shampoos). The consistency of the shampoo is also quite thin, so you pour it into your hand and half of it falls on the floor. Also the bottle is a screw cap which is a bit of a pain rather than a squeeze bottle which would be a lot better.
