Box from MCAA Direct had mold
Bought this new via Amazon from MCAA Direct in December 2014. There was no obvious sign of water damage, but when I pulled out the bottom flap I saw that the reason it had stuck was visible mold. Of the literally hundreds of jigsaw puzzles from Amazon I've made over the past few years (including a dozen BePuzzled), this is the first time I've encountered mold. The pieces are still sealed in their bag, but I'll wait to get over the "ick" factor before considering making it.

Regret Purchase
I purchased this puzzle as a gift in November 2016. The recipient had a lot of other puzzles to work on, and just opened the puzzle on May 19, 2017. While the pieces were in a plastic bag, it looked like it had been taped shut rather than sealed. the puzzle had a musty smell, like it had been stored somewhere for a long time, and maybe had gotten damp. Also, the story and result page was missing. The puzzle cost $18.00, and I'm just glad it wasn't more expensive. I would not purchase from this vendor, Fescue Store, again.

Challenging and Fun
My daughter and I just finished this puzzle. We worked it out over a 3-day period. It is a challenging puzzle in several ways. First of all, there is no picture of the puzzle to use as a guide, so you have to work a little harder to figure out where things fit. Also, there is a jumble of sheet music that shows partial pages of different pieces which face in different directions. Also, you have to solve the mystery with clues "hidden" in the puzzle. The story is pretty campy, but we had lots of laughs hypothesizing what could be clues, and what seemed unusual. In Amazon's description, it reads "ages 12 to 12, but it is really 12 to Adult. Definitely for those with an eye for detail and a sense of humor.

musical mystery
I worked this puzzle years ago but was writing another review, saw it and wanted to recommend it for those who enjoy these mystery puzzles. The clues in the puzzle for this story were some of the most ingenious I have seen, very cleverly worked into the puzzle itself. Especially if you have a musical background, you should enjoy this one.
