ASPCAMicrotech Dog Bed, for Small to Medium Pets, Blue

Great little Dog bed! We picked up our new puppy and took his new bed with us for him to lay in. He loved it! Due to his nerves coming to a new home and the bumpy California highways, his tummy didn't fair too well and up-chucked on his new bed. The tag said machine wash cold and air dry.DO NOT WASH IT in machine!!! I washed it cold on gentle cycle and it exploded. See attached photo. I give this a 5 star before wash and a 0 after.

I purchased 4 of these beds and sad to say the quality is not there. I wash my dog's beds, toys, etc once a month and I use the 'delicate' setting. Of the 4 beds I'm down to 2 (really 1 and a half). The bottom's of these wear too easy (sitting on CARPET!) so after a few washes the bottom is shredded and the 'green' stuffing comes out and is everywhere. So the two I have left are barely hanging in - the good news is they're on a carpeted floor so even after taking the stuffing out they have the carpet for cushion. The sides are still in-tact so whatever they used on the sides they should have used on the base/bottom. One of the first two that totally "died" I use in my car when I have to take either dog some place.I will not be purchasing these again even though they benefit the ASPCA.

I bought this bed for my older incontinent dog. After purchasing it I saw multiple reviews saying it could not be washed, so I became worried, but since my older female dog was peeing in her sleep I needed to wash the bed. The first time I washed it I put in by itself on gentle and dried it by itself on med and it was fine. The next time I washed it I kicked it up to Permanent Press on the washer and dried it on medium, still by itself and still fine. No rips in the seams, wasn't falling apart. I started putting other things in with it, and it still washed fine using the same settings.

Larger than I thought, dog loves it so far. Was in it the minute I put it on the floor. Haven't washed it yet (will eventually since dog has seizures) so hopefully it holds up. Very soft and comfy. Our dog is about 20lbs and has more than enough space.

The moment I opened the package I saw that a seam had been torn and stuffing was pouring out of the bed. So much so the one side is actually crooked. It's disappointing bc I was really excited to support ASPCA and buy something from them. The quality I expect from them is high and it's disappointing that it's just another low quality animal bed. I can't even return it bc I don't have a car to take it to UPS so I'm just stuck with a garbage bed. Don't buy this. It's junk.

I did tons of research into which bed would be best for our fur baby, a Chiweenie. This bed was the one we chose because of the ratings. However, upon getting it today and opening, we found the stitching was so poorly done that the stuffing was coming out. Had we not noticed it...had we not inspected it before putting it down for the baby, he would have surely eaten the stuffing and god knows what would have happened. I don't even want to think about it. That said, upon further inspection, we found that it wasn't just coming out of the stitching. It was scattered with remnants of the brown stuffing here and there all over the bed and the underside. I beg anyone looking for a bed for their pet, PLEASE LOOK CAREFULLY before giving them a bed like this. Especially THIS bed.

This is a nice cozy bed when all it does is sit there and have the dogs lay in it. The reality is, this will not always be the case. At least in my household it is not the case. My dogs like to move their beds around in their room. In addition to this, I move their bed around when I need to vacuum their room. This is where the durability issue comes in. This bed is not durable at all. I purchased this bed in October, by December it was bleeding fuzz out into my back room. The underside of this bed is made out of a very very weak material. This material is similar to what you would find on the back of a very cheap couch. I find this to be a terrible oversight when making a dog bed. It has to be assumed that at some point the dog will step on this the wrong way, or accidentally flip it over. Once this bed is flipped over it is game over if anyone steps on it again.My wife and I have attempted to fix this issue ourselves. When the underside of this bed opened up the first time my wife sewed it back. Within weeks it had opened at a different location. We finally became fed up with cleaning fuzz from the dogs room and threw this bed into the garbage. This would be a nice dog bed, if the durability issue was resolved by adding a stronger material on the underside of this bed. That would have caused me to write a 4 star review. The topside of this bed is very cozy. It is soft and warm. However, the durability issue is just too much to overlook.I have included pictures that hopefully show the cheap material of the underside of the bed.

ordered two for my dogs. Arrived today & they instantly loved. Per other post I will wash very gently, but I didn't find them to be thin.

I need to change my review. The bed is poorly constructed. This is the second bed (see below). Have already had to mend this bed in several places. Certainly not appropriate for puppies. Will not purchase again.The first bed I ordered didn’t hold it’s shape and became lumpy. The bed was replaced for me immediately. So far the second bed is great. Thank you for such great service.

Arrived much earlier than expected and is the perfect size for a large, fluffy 13.5lbs cat - now, she has somewhere to call her own and sleep in instead of shedding all over my bed. It's very soft and light, a little less plush than i thought it would be, but is the perfect size for my kitty. I wish the lighter-brown option was the same price because I can already see her shed fur all over the dark brown fabric. The pictures make the bed appear very sturdy but it is actually very squishy and malleable - may be a pro or a con for you, depending on your pet's lifestyle. My cat likes to stretch out and does not seem to mind. We will see how long the bed lasts but I have high hopes!

This bed is not appropriate for a puppy or for any dog that likes to chew. As others have stated, my puppy could not resist chewing up the bottom to get to the brown, wiry stuffing. After 10 days, he finally managed to chew a hole in the bottom and began trying to eat the stuffing. If I had not caught him in time, he might have swallowed or chocked on it. I think that the stuffing is dangerous and that this product is very, very defective.

The only issue I have with this pet-bed is the thickness on the bottom. I wish it was thicker with more stuffing to line the bottom. If your dog sleeps in it every day/night, the bottom becomes compacted within 2 months. The sides of the bed stay plush and thick - but the bottom flattens rather quickly. The bed washes well and line-drying is preferable. Given the price, I can’t complain and part of the proceeds from the purchase goes to the ASPCA - always a good cause!
