The fineness of pin and the glass head to prevent iron from melting.
I am very happy with the pins.

Still excellent quality and I love the size
These pins are fine enough for patchwork piecing, and perfect for pressing and steaming little pleats, shirring, etc. The price has jumped but the quality here is excellent.

Great craft item
Love these pins for working with felt. They are fine enough to be flexible when the need arises. Great value for Dritz product.

My favorite pins to use.
A very good quality pin. They are great for using with tightly woven fabrics. As a quilter, these are the best pins for using with batik fabrics , pins just glide through without leaving a big hole as another pins will.

Can't go wrong with these pins!
I sew alot and realized that I needed higher, longer pins for my quilt projects. These are perfect. The heads are small but easy to pick up. They stay sharp. They were a bit higher than some cheaper brands, but I've found that the Dritz brand is worth the small increase in price over less quality product. I will definitely buy these again when I need pins.

Not really extra fine, especially for quilting
These are not as extra fine as the ones with blue glass heads. I had already opened the box and used some before I realized they were not what I wanted. They are fine to use but not for quilting.

Sharpness…only average
Compared to the same brand and size of pins that I bought over 6 years ago, these pins are much less sharp and not as quick and smooth. They are though, the perfect size for pinning quilt pieces.

Good General Sewing & Quilting Pins
Love these thin, glass head pins, especially because they don't melt when you iron over them!

Nice and sharp and thin. The glass head won’t melt from the iron

I wasn't sure about ordering extra fine pins but I wanted a good length and a glass head (as I melted a few of my plastic pin heads which ironing). These are really nice pins to work with; they are sharp and they are strong (I was worried extra fine would mean not so strong). They slide into fabric easily and really are a pleasure to work with. That sounds like a lot of features for a pin, but it matters, even if you don't think you will notice.
