I bought these for my outside lights. You don't need a timer and you don't have to bother turning them on or off. You just keep the switch on all the time. They go on at dusk and off at dawn, offer the expected amount of light, and so far are lasting at least as long as a normal bulb. It's nice to come home after dark and have the lights already on. The only light it didn't work well in was a tiny lantern where the solid top covered almost all the top of the bulb. The top of the bulb has to get enough sun to work right. All the wall lights work great even when the bulb points down, this stand alone lantern did not.

Light bulbs arrived next day in good condition. I got them to light up my garage door area and they did this very well. It is a bright blue-white light. This may be too bright if it were to be in an area you might be using at night but is very good for security. Since I have only had them a few days I cannot speak to longevity, but the bulbs work as expected. They came on at dusk and went off in the morning.

Updated Review -After not working for several days, the outside lights just started working again on their own with no user intervention. I am not sure why they wouldn't light for those few days but are working now. Also, Amazon indicated how to contact the seller in an email they sent out right after my posting on this website about my difficulties contacting the seller. Therefore, I raised my review from 2 to 4 stars.Original review -I purchased these lights for an outdoor porch. They were easy to install and gave off a fair amount of light. However, the bulbs only lasted 3.5 months. As the bulbs were advertised with a 24 month replacement warranty, I went to process a claim. The link on this Amazon webpage directs you to another Amazon webpage that says it would be better if you went to the vendor's website. However, there is no link to the vendor. I therefore "googled" for Banord and the parent company Shenzhen Banord Technology Co.,Ltd. and there are no websites for either company. In addition, as another writer indicated there is no information on the box. Therefore, while the 2 year warranty sounds great, in practice it doesn't seem useful. It would be helpful for Amazon to post the link for the warranty on the company website if one exists. If not, they should remove the warranty advertising claim. Overall, these bulbs are not worth the price if they only lasted 3.5 months.

I liked the finish detail of the bulbs and the way they were protected for transport. When I installed it, I loved the brightness and the quick response to light intensity in the surroundings compared to the old one I had. About longevity I cannot say until the time it will burn out.

I purchased light sensors that screwed into the light sockets under the bulbs and they were the worst. Out of the 4 received, 3 were bad and the 1 that did work was very intermittent. These bulbs are cheaper than buying the light sensors and they work very well. Got a two for the price of one with a light bulb and sensor built in that actually do what they're intended to do. Go figure. Great product!

The light from these bulbs is bright and crisp. They turn on at dusk and off at dawn. Just what we wanted for security. Great!!

Very impressed. Clear bright light like daylight. They really do go on at dusk and go off at dawn as they claim (so I gave them five stars but there’s no actual motion detection on this model), even though we were skeptical. Wish I’d discovered them long ago to save having to flick switches and waste electricity in the early mornings. Highly recommended.
