This works!!!
Here's my story: In the 1990's I bought a Riddex from QVC. It lasted for over 20 years and was still working when I put my condo up for sale. I tossed it in the trash for real estate listing purposes and moved to a lake-house in a rural area. Within 2 weeks of throwing my Riddex away, I had a mouse in my condo. There were also several in a recently built mouse-house in the attached garage. I never had a mouse at all while the Riddex was plugged in. Now I live in a semi-rural area on a lake, and I've discovered a couple mice in the walls. I found droppings in a wall switch when I removed the cover. I went looking for another Riddex. I found a vintage original Riddex on eBay, saw the phone number on the back, Global Instruments, and inquired about getting another. The company now calls it Pest-a-cator 2000 and it's still made in the USA. There IS a Riddex still sold but it's made in China and it's not the original Riddex. So, I ordered this, plugged it in and within a week the mice are gone. This works.

It Works
Now I was a bit skeptical at first. I was not familiar with the technology and science involved in how this really works. But I took a chance and low and behold it worked. I had a mouse problem at my home and I tried other methods such as the Nooski traps and poison. Although I killed over 12 mice with the traps, mice tend to reproduce quicker than you can kill them off. Also any mother mouse can have about 8 to 12 babies when they are prego. Mind you I have 3 Corgi dogs so I was worried about whether or not the frequency would bother them. But all was well the dogs don't seem to notice anything out of the ordinary and they are happy campers. This product worked so well that when my father was having mice problems at his place of business (not food related lol) I was confident enough to buy a unit for his office. End result is that I have zero mice issues both at home and in the office. It works well and I have no more trouble with rodents. :3 I give it a 5 star. Definitely worth a shot.

These do NOT work.
I had a mouse problem. I found where they were coming in and moved them to a nearby field one by one with a have-a-heart trap. Once I was fairly certain they were gone (i.e. no more mouse poop, traps set and remained empty for weeks, access closed off, etc.) I purchased five of these. I followed the instructions and made sure they were plugged into outlets with wires running around the rooms. I put one in my garage. The outlet is part of a circuit that runs all three walls of the garage and even wraps around next to the door on the 4th wall. There is a small gap on one side of the garage door where the mice can get in, and they did. I found poop and chewed towels. I was cleaning in there and just picked up a box and a little baby mouse fell out. There was another still in the box. I then saw the mother cautiously approach me and turn around, ran off, and hid. So, it's not like a mouse came in looking for something and quickly got out because of the unit, the mouse was making a home in there. Why?! Because these things are complete BS!! Now I have two tiny mice who will not survive without their mother. I carefully moved the baby that fell out back into the nest and left the box where the mother can hopefully move them somewhere safe. I don't want them living in my garage, but I also don't want to see the little babies suffer and die. Yes, I have compassion even for mice. In any case, do not buy these unless you're looking for a wall decoration with a blinking light. Any of the reviews that claim these work are simple coincidence. If you want to be mouse-free, (1) eliminate clutter, (2) close up any access points, (3) check often for evidence. We remained mouse-free for 2 years after I closed up the access point through which they were getting into the house. It had NOTHING to do with these scam units, though. Trust me! If it had anything to do with them, I wouldn't have just found a mouse nest in my garage!!!!

Worked great….
I was having a problem with mice. To the point where I’d stay up battling them every night and catching at least one or two a day. I tried this, PRAYING that it would at least help to reduce the amount getting into the house. I am SHOCKED, thrilled and SOOO RELIEVED! This was my experience… the very 1st day I plugged it in…I still saw mice but did see significantly less than before. I also bleached EVERYTHING like a mad woman and removed everything from the area to give them less to hide behind that same day. By the second night, I only saw one mouse…it scurried toward the outlet this product is plugged into, stopped dead in the middle of the floor, jumped into the air and BOOKED it back to behind the wall it came from. The only other time I ever saw them jump like that was when I sprayed bleach where they were hiding and it jumped away from the area. I also noticed all the poop surprises I would find every morning were no longer appearing each day. By the end of the third day…I was ready to throw a party and couldn’t wait to tell others how amazingly this worked. I held back to be sure it wasn’t just because they HATE the bleach smell. So by the end of the first week…I was sooo upset when I started finding big fat poop (not the tiny poop the little ones I was battling were leaving) AND I had 3 tiny mice in my trap. Now to be fair…we had CRAZY rain/thunderstorms that week. That may have something to do with the increased activity. After that week and the discouraging return…like magic, there was NOTHING! No mice, no poop…finally, just peace! I have not had any recurrences since that bad week. I’ve had it for just over a month now. If you’re on the fence…just buy it! I pray it gives you the same peace it has for me May 2025 update- it seems as though the mice have gotten used to it to some degree? The problem is not as bad as it was, but I am definitely seeing evidence again. Maybe these devices have a shelf life and I need a new one or maybe it was never actually this device to start with. Maybe since my obsessive daily bleach cleaning seized, they’ve found their way back inside. I’ll be running some tests and update any useful information they yield.
