Indulgent Italian Swiss Roll variation w/ hazelnut filling. "A" for flavor; they were a bit smushed.
I'll admit it, and my medical testing will prove it. I love sugar. And that means, I love sugary treats. Little Debbies were my go-to Swiss Rolls when I was growing up. So it's no surprise that I also love these Rollino's, which are sponge cakes with hazelnut filling, rather than the cream filling found in Little Debbies. I feel like they are my adult alternative. A bit indulgent, I'll admit. But you gotta do something with those Discover points! I just ate 2 (couldn't stop at one - sue me!) and loved the taste. I got them yesterday in freezing temps here in Chicagoland, but waited until this morning (I think that was noble of me!) until I opened them to try. Yes, the package got a little smushed, and so the chocolate topping layer on each roll had some broken pieces, but you know you can still pick them up with their fingers and eat them out of the container, so no real harm done. Not like I was using them for a fancy dinner party anyway. The package itself is plastic, and each roll is wrapped again in plastic, so you don't have to worry that when you open the packaging all the little rolls inside will go stale. Which was quite a relief! Because I really don't plan on eating them all today. Seriously. I don't. What happens, I can't predict, however. I think they're cute, again, about the size of Swiss Rolls you're used to getting in American supermarkets. But Vive Variety! Yeah, I don't speak Italian or French, but that's how I'd imagine they'd celebrate the diversity of flavors found by ordering these as opposed to just going to the local mart. I'm very happy, but my only wish (and it's not critical) is that they shipped in cardboard so they hadn't gotten crushed. Just in case I wanted to share them with someone fancier. To me, it was worth the money, as I didn't have to pay for extra shipping, and the cakes themselves were worth the cost. Certainly if you are self-indulgent, as I obviously am, they are worth it. I live in the sticks or I'd check my local European market for them, but as it is, gotta go shipped. Would I send them as gifts? No. Would I order and eat them during a Midwestern cold snap or snowstorm? Heck yes. Delicious. "A" for flavor. A- for smushedness. At least you get enough of them. YUM.

Amazing
I am tempted to leave a terrible review so that there would be more left for me. These are wonderful. The aftertaste is excellent and lasts a very long time.

they got shmooshed
Sorry...great product but not something I'd order from amazon again, unless they can figure out a way to ship them without the product getting crushed.
