If you sew leather, you Need one of these.
Nicely packaged and will use the box as a storage case for this stitching clamp, when not actually sewing leather with it. The base is attached to the clamp section with a single screw and (corroded), wingnut - though I always use these in one direction, so will be adding a brass hinge and a couple of cabin hooks to mine, after removing the screw - I don't need the swivelling facility and having it all fold Flat (flattish), will be more useful. You also get a couple of precut strips of soft leather to stick onto the jaws (use contact adhesive), thus protecting your work - a nice touch.

Really useful and well made.
I have been using this every day since I purchased it and it has worked perfectly. For people who have never used one it is easy to assemble and operate. I am a novice leather worker and not the most accomplished stitcher; indeed some might say I'm pretty hashy but this has helped me develop my skills and become much more proficient. In fact I have got so good I'm even letting other people see my work; something I was too embarrassed to do before I started using this. I find I get on better if I place a weight on the foot. It helps it stay a bit steadier and that helps me.

Sorry I only give it two stars but, I suppose it is as described, it is only small, I didn't look at any measurements, thought they were all basically the same, you sit on base and use it at a comfortable working height, if I sat on base of this one is be working at navel height! Will have to find a way to secure to table top or purchase a proper one?
