My Life & Times: A Guided Journal for Collecting Your Stories Hardcover – Download: Adobe Reader, November 3, 2011

I didn't expect it to be so, well, shabby. It comes in a binder, so the pages don't lie flat--the whole book is at a tilt from the large binder rings. (The binder part is good and bad--it allows you to move sections around to fit your life, but it just seems cheap.) The pages inside were crumpled and bent. I got this one because I liked the questions shown on the preview, but this is a very cheap book, and you can tell. I wish I had sprung for a more expensive book.

This book is more properly a GUIDE with which to create a journal of your own. It actually contains instructions for how to use it, as well as giving topics and suggestions for subjects and questions to answer. But it is not really something you would give to your children or grandchildren as your life story or legacy on its own. I haven't decided yet if I'm going to keep it, as I was looking for something more to be used as answers to questions that tell the story of your life, to be passed down thru the family.

Did not care for the questions asked throughout the journal pages.

Lots of relevant prompts that can be used for my own history and to gather information from family and friends. The big plus is the CD of extra forms so that it is infinitiely costumizable.

I really enjoy this book. One of the coolest parts is the DVD included that has additional forms on it to add to the book if there isn't enough room in the book.

I think everyone should have a journal like this. There is so much I would've liked to know about my own family. Books like these keep the memories alive. Death is a heartache, no one can heal. But Love is a memory that no one can steal! Its a great keepsake to pass down to loved ones. and a good way to communicate with current friends and family!

Really not what I wanted. This was a substitute. I wanted suddenly was "out of stock, with no in-stock date". Had to settle.

I was looking for a journal to fill out and leave my kids, and this is the one. So many of the others had silly questions to fill out but this one was just right. It will probably take a year to fill out completely but will be a very special legacy to leave behind.

This is a very personal autobiography book, covers all happenings even if a little Americanized.
