I'm a big fan of the convenience of the DYMO printer (I have the old LabelWriter 400). They are fast to work with and add a professional look. My only complaint is that the labels seem to yellow and fade rather quickly with time. I speculate that this is largely a product of my environment. I live in Southeast Arkansas where it is very hot and humid. As the printers work off of heat, it stands to reason that extreme heat would have a negative impact on the labels. Still, I would avoid them for archival purposes. For mailing labels, they work great!

The label refills work exactly as intended with the Dymo Labelwriter that we purchased a while back. There is never any smudging and these labels flow perfectly through the machine as you use each individual one. The sides of each corresponding label are perforated edge to help with an easy tear from one label to the other. The roll of labels wrap nicely around a durable small cardboard roll of which you discard once you get to the end of each roll. I have never had an issue of the labels unraveling before installing onto the labelwriter machine. If I had to put a con on this product, it would be the adhesive that is used to keep the whole roll together before use. The small piece of white adhesive keeps the label roll from unraveling, but getting the white adhesive off can be annoying and you may very well have to discard the label above and including where that adhesive is stuck onto. If you are not worried about some waste, then just use a sharp object and ::carefully:: cut into the adhesive, rip the labels above where the adhesive was and discard. Just ensure the edge is straight so it can be fed into the machine properly.
