Depends on the thickness of your cores. Thick 2.5 to 3.5% More fragile 3.5 to 5.5% Bake at 220 for 10-30 min to cure or Chembond 210 catalyst from clayplanet which also improves moisture resistance. Works great.

Is this safe to use to seal concrete vessels for candles? Will it emit toxic fumes when heated?

Yes you can use this product near open flame. No toxic fumes will be released.

What is the shelf life after opening the container?

There is no instructions on the container as to how long it lasts once opened. I does dry fairly quickly once applied. That being said it “should” last fairly long if it is kept in an air tight container. I opened my gallon container about 3 months ago and keep the lid closed when not in use, so far no problems.
