I'm really surprised how effective these collars are! Bought for my blue heeler and chaweenie. Both have been getting progressively worse at barking at the door, neighbors and going bonkers when we come home. It was so bad we would rush to the door, trying to yell at them to stop as we try to turn the key! So stressful! Since putting these on them yesterday, they have stopped barking! Came home tonight from work and then again after getting dinner, no barking coming from the house! Quiet and stress free entry into the house! It's wonderful! After I put them on yesterday for the first time, not long after, Amazon rang the doorbell... they both ran to the door and barked, but after just 2 barks they both stopped in their tracks, looked around for the weird beep sound, forgot the doorbell and came over to me. They weren't scared or upset, just distracted. I watched them again when my husband came home, same, but only one bark before they both seemed to calm down. Amazing! No amount of yelling, clapping or shooing them would work... one beep and they stop. Our heeler dog had barked through electric collars so I was very sceptical. I wanted something less forceful for our little dog and thought I'd try it out! Definitely recommend it! Price is great too! Easy to put on and adjust. I like that they can be turned off to save battery even i take them off at night.

We bought the twin pack for both dogs so this review is the same for both. The battery life is literally 4 days max. After going through a ton of batteries I took one of them apart to try to wire two used batteries in series for a total of 6 volts so I could get more life out of these batteries. Didn't work. This collar is so poorly designed. There is enough room internally to fit two batteries in parallel so you might be able to get 8 days of use. If you calculate out the cost of batteries this collar will cost over $150 per year per dog. Not worth it. If you should happen to lose the orange or blue plastic cover there will then be 4 holes in the case. Since they didn't put a protective cover over the vibrate motor inside the case the dogs hair will then get inside and wrap around the vibrate motor and cause it to fail. As far as a bark deterrent it was somewhat effective for about a week and then they learn to bark through all the modes. Don't bother with this collar.

I got these on a Cyber Monday deal, so they were a good value for the price I paid. They work on some dogs, but there is such a time delay between action and correction that the dogs have a hard time figuring out the cause. The beep does not phase most dogs and by the time it vibrates, it's just an annoyance. Beep does work on dogs that have been trained with an e-collar already and already know that the beep is a warning tone or have been trained to return with the beep. So the effectiveness is so-so. The biggest downside is that they are easily activated. So if it's on one dog and a dog nearby (even within 5-10 feet) barks, it may go off. One of my pups figured out that it goes off when the other dog barks and started avoiding the other dog. When you're storing these, you MUST remove the batteries or it will constantly be going off anytime there is a loud noise.

This collar is a must have for a puppy owner or a person whos pup barks a lot. Mine barks at squirrels so this was something we wanted to try because we didnt like the traditional shock collars. The battery on the remote alwyas died quickly and i was always losing it. This is one battery and functions on its own. I wish there was a way to slide this onto her normal collar so she didnt have to wear two or if the collar on this wzs stronger i could use it as her walking collar too. Oh and a little pink faceplate would be awesome! But blue and orange interchangeables are ok too. The collar is great. Its safe and i know my dog isnt getting shocked. I use it when we walk so she doesnt bark at squirrels. I am able to control the strength and i have been able to lower this in the past 2 weeks as she learns to not bark.My only complaint is the flimsy collar. I wish it was stronger or thta i could slide this over here regular collar so that she only had to wear one. I highly recommend these.

Overall I am amazed and thrilled that this bark collar stopped my dog’s barking almost instantly. With consistency and praise, Chico soon became the dog of my dreams. The only issue that I ran into was that because it is so sensitive, the barking of a nearby dog can set off his collar. The collar is also cheaply made so that it continuously gets loose so I had to tape it. The battery only lasts a week with on and off daytime use but you can get them pretty cheap on line. Sometimes it doesn’t blink to warn you that it’s dying so your dog can be wearing it while it’s not working and you wouldn’t know it until you realize that he’s barking too much. Lol …… but the end result is fantastic. It’s amazing that sound and vibration can deter him from barking. He never even makes it to the vibration. The sound alone is enough to remind him. I would highly recommend this collar. Plus you get two in a pack!

I was excited to find this option for my very loud dogs. The reviews gave me hope. They are easy to use and the sound definitely works to curb barking. The batteries that come with it are not great but I found a stronger brand in bulk on Amazon (that also work for other things we have) so I was happy. After about a week we realized our lab was barking as though the collar did not exist. Looked at it and it was off. Changed the battery, turned it on..about an hour later, barking again. It was off again! We were having to turn it on multiple times a day because even with fresh batteries it just shuts off when it feels like it. Returned the first set thinking it was a defect. The new set came, SAME THING! The product idea is solid and does it's job. I just wish it had stayed working. It is almost as if there is just enough play inside to shake the battery loose of the connection.
