Good and cheap
This is a good sturdy piece of home gym equipment. Keep that in mind. The fit and finish of all the components are acceptable. They’re not perfect but it gets the job done and keeps the price low. The assembly instructions were a joke. If you have any kind of a mechanical aptitude you can put this bench together in less than twenty minutes. The exploded view of the assembly is overly thorough and shows componets that are not included with this model. Makes things confusing. However every component is labeled and shows it in a parts list and on the exploded view. There are no printed instructions telling you where to start. I just started with the base and worked from there. There are not a whole lot of nuts and bolts holding this together. I think I counted twelve and they are all the same size diameter, same size flat washer and 4 of the same size nylon locking nuts. Like I said twenty minutes if you’re familiar with this type of stuff. Make sure you tighten everything down especially where the base tubes slide together and you will be satisfied with the end result. I’m 69” tall with a 29 inch inseam and this works best for me on the lowest setting. That way I fully bend my waist unrestricted moving as close as possible towards the floor and raising fully back up. Really works the lower back, hips, glutes, hamstrings, and calfs. Have a great work out!

Great Home Owner Hyperextension
I've been using this for a few months now. I really like the build of Valor equipment. It's pretty sturdy, well built, easy to put together with a few hand tools in under 30 minutes. The padding is thicker than other hyper extensions around this price range, probably more than I've seen on even more expensive models. Easy to adjust as well. All in all well worth the buy at this price. Close to Gym/ Commercial quality as far as build and use. The only thing to note, the feet on the hyper extension slide off easy. I used some Lock-Tite Adhesive inside the caps and they haven't come off since. Its an acceptable design flaw since it is plastic/ rubber on metal.

Best Bench for this price point!
I own a Lot of the valor equipment BD7 rack, DD4 incline decline bench (i own and love my super bench) the DD4 i use for leg work and leave it setup for leg extensions. i tried a cheaper back extension bench and it was not only defective but poorly made. its being returned however the Valor CB-13 is very well made i think they have improved on their build quality. it holds my 325lbs 6.4 foot person very stable (with adjustments left over so it can even handle taller users. it is a great buy and is probably the best Hyper extension bench you can get for this price point. everything fit together perfectly and as for adjusting the feet and bottom plate tighten them up in the location you are going to use it in and it will level out nicely the first time. if your on a budget or starting out you cant go wrong with valor.

High quality piece of equipment.
I chose this machine for 2 reasons: 1. I didn't want a folding one because they are less sturdy/strong. 2. I own other Valor equipment and have always been impressed. This machine was very easy to assemble and its pretty adjustable to be able to fit most people. I can take a little trial and error to find the adjustment that's most comfortable for you. Its great for back extensions as well as side crunches for obliques. The handles are NOT for performing dips. They are not made for that. They are only for helping you position yourself on/off the machine. It's very well built and I expect this will last forever.

Affordable and durable - A BEST BUY
After diligently reading reviews and looking for a good price point , this hit the mark. I can't believe this uncomplicated piece of machinery , made from roughly 7 parts can cost as much as $400 from local stores an on amazon. I rolled the dice on this machine because it had the steel foot plate and I'm completely satisfied. From opening the box to setup , it took me about 40 minutes to assemble and I was doing oblique bends and back bends. It's stable and strong and it feels completely secure. Lastly, the only tools you will need to assemble are a pair of vice grips and an adjustable crescent wrench. Save your money and get this machine.

Nice Equipment
After reading some of the reviews I decided to take a chance on this unit. It was much cheaper than some of the others. The instructions do not have any words and are only pictures. It took me over an hour to put together. The unit itself is made from really thick metal and should last me a very long time. I am 5' 8" around 225 lbs and have no problem using the machine. I do not feel as though it might turn over. Very good product and does not take up too much space in my living room. I recommend this unit to anyone looking for a good machine to work or rehab your back.

Quality product but had some nuts and bolts missing when arrived.
It is a quality product and very sturdy, but parts were missing and so took longer to assemble, and had to go out and buy more nuts and bolts because not all were with the product. I double checked inside the box and followed instructions carefully. But besides that it is a good product.

Great quality for the price and as a casual piece of equipment
Not a bad model for the price. All of the delivered materials arrived in good condition except for a glued Valor sticker wearing off. Nothing to be concerned about. Unfortunately, one of the plastic washers that inserts where the lower crossbar is placed for the leg rests was not delivered. Not a big deal as it only prevents wear and tear and isn't required structurally, but worth noting. Prime 2 Day Delivery itself was late. This is worth noting as there are cheaper models on Amazon that use standard shipping. Assembly was extremely easy. There are no step-by-step instructions, but it is easy to figure out from the included diagram as everything is laid in how it all connects. If you absolutely need better guidance, Valor has included contacts to assist you. The material itself is decent. The quality isn't comparable to industrial gym models such as Precor, but it's good quality for the price. Make sure your bolts are extremely tight or you'll have wobble. The steel/metal is strong, but I can see the integrity of it wearing down fairly quickly over time (It'll be a few years). If you're on the heavier side (230+ maybe?), it may be wise to keep an eye on the wear and tear. Lighter individuals probably wouldn't have to worry about anything breaking for a long time. This is all in my opinion of course. The plastic, pleather covering, handles were all of great integrity and should hold together fairly well. Finally, I ran through some back extensions and side raises on this. I liked it pretty well. For guys, there is a slight gap between the two hip pads which is great. There's some slight relief as opposed to models where you smash your junk up against the padding and deal with it or position your pelvis above the padding. There's freedom to use more support for your legs if you desire without that particular discomfort. There was no rocking of the equipment in performing exercises or adjusting my starting position. There is plenty of room to adjust position and do side raises as well. Again, there is no rocking to the sides during these. Overall, it's a good piece of equipment for the price. If you're a serious lifter wanting to build a high quality home gym, I'd probably save some money and invest in a commercial gym brand, but this is great for the casual home gym, especially lighter individuals. I have a gym membership myself, but I wanted this to put more volume in on my lower back. I'd say I'm satisfied with the purchase and would buy it again if I had to redecide, except from a different, cheaper seller due to it being late Quick edit: I'm 6'2" and have plenty of room to adjust heigher or lower from my personal optimal position
