Replacement Battery Pack for Electrolux Ergorapido, 2-in-1 Stick and Handheld Vacuum EL1019A

I have this Ergo Rapido and I love it but it died within a year! I called around vacuum repair shops to see if they could fix it or change the battery. No luck. Then on google I found this item. I ordered it and figured if it didn't work Amazon would give me a refund, since they're so good about that. I just received the new battery today. So easy to change! Just switch out the hand held, no undoing screws or anything. Now my Rapido works like new! I love it!

It fitted the listed model. It is working just great. I would prefer less plastic to throw out as the unit consists not only of the battery that needs to be replaced but the handle and casing as well. I tried to recycle as much as I could but taking out the battery took me a VERY long time. Please work on reducing the plastic waste. Thanks.

UPDATE: It's now 16 months later and the vac is about dead again. The price on the battery pack has nearly doubled. You can buy 2 and 1/2 portable uprights for the price of just this battery pack. This was the first review on the first replacement after three months: "So far so good, it's been three months and the vacuum is like new again. We were just about to throw the whole vacuum away but this made it like new. I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't so expensive and you could change the battery pack instead of the whole assembly."

$40.00! I was grateful that I didn't have to purchase a complete new vacuum for $80.00. The original batteries did not recharge very well or last very long. The product is poorly designed and the battery pack is just an accommodation for that poor design. I would expect more from Electrolux and for that matter Costco for selling such an inferior product.

Its a great Vacuum Cleaner but after three years the batteries did fade, replaced the battery handle/Pak and like new. Do be careful with the model number of your vacuum when ordering this.

Product arrived in a timely manner, was back ordered, but arrived when stated. Works very well, just hope it lasts longer than the original battery.

The battery was fine, but I returned it because I found out my old battery still had plenty of life. I will definitely reorder it when I need it.

Update, a little over two years and dead again. Just not worth it. There are much better complete vacuums at this price now.
