Everyone quit bitching about the price. It's a quality piece and not something that's available nearby for my older Square D box. Installs easily and works perfectly. Worth the peace of mind knowing that I finished my generator hookup correctly and legally.

This is heavy duty and installed easily. Enough labels to clearly identify the installation.I made one of these but after careful consideration I wisely decided to buy this one.This being such a unique item I’m sure justifies the hefty price.

I’m an electrical contractor and have purchased many different style interlocks from interlocks.com and found them all to be great quality and easy to install. I just recently ordered and had to cancel and the process was handled quickly and professional. Great manufacturer and great seller

Seems pricy but you get a drill bit, locktite, stickers for everything and a qualitysliding mechanism to prevent anyone from back feeding the utility line potentially killing or harming the very lineman trying to restore your power. You will also have a real problem should you try to sell your home and an inspector notices some dangerous rigging. Absolutely worth doing correctly. Dry fit the slide to your breaker to ensure the lower tab doesn’t reach into the next breaker slot. If you place the lock squarely in the right angle of your vertical main, it could be too long. I cut 1/4” off of mine after installing it per directions. This was on a 1972 Square D panel however.

I purchased this at the direction of my electrician. While I agree with a prior reviewer that the price seems steep, Amazon’s price is 30% cheaper than my electrician’s supplier. Overall it is a bargain compared to the cost of a separate transfer switch & it satisfies code. The construction is extremely solid & it fits my 30 year old box like a glove.
