I love Cards Against Humanity and have tons of the expansion packs... but sometimes you want a new game. I've tried many new ones, hoping to find something equally enjoyable that holds up after several uses - this one is it. The phone conversation card is about 2x the size of a regular card but fits in the box just fine. I has a decent-sized font so it's easy to read and to see who is speaking - the cards are color. You get to hold 10 cards in your hand - which is great because some cards really don't fit with others. Is it as wild as Cards Against Humanity? No, but there are still some raunchy cards, and many you wouldn't think would be raunchy seem to turn out that way. I will admit there are a good number of "throw away" cards but I plan to just use white-out tape on them and pretend they are "blank choose-your-own saying" cards. We played through the whole deck and were laughing hysterically, oftentimes at cards that were just plain weird. The premise is great and I look forward to buying more expansion packs. This game is worth a try!

We tried Dot Dot Dot for a game night. After a few rounds, the one guy at the table who doesn’t really believe in games immediately said, “We gotta keep playing!” Three hours later, we only quit to go to bed. The first person got 8 cards, so we kept playing for second place... then for third... then for fourth. 😂 We literally laughed so hard we cried, multiple times. (Be aware, the cards and jokes can turn out to be quite dirty and sexual, which is why I couldn’t in good conscience give it all 5 stars.)

Pros: Very similar to cards against humanity, which was good since it was quick to catch on and start playing! Funny combinations! We played with a close group who was very comfortable with each other so it was hilarious! Lots of options to play! Since it was new to us, they were great! Cons: Some people won’t get a turn following the rules, since the winner of the conversation card gets to start the next turn, but we slightly altered and just gave everyone a turn, although I suppose its good incentive to be funnier! Overall a good game that my friends got invested in!

We bought dot dot dot to add to our game collection we like to play with friends. It turned out to be a great fresh take on a familiar concept, and I especially like the large size of the “Conversation” cards that go in the center. I would recommend for both close friends and new acquaintances.

I got this to use with my gf and friends. It was so much fun! This is a great game to get everyone involved and not have to take seriously. Just enjoy the laughs and have a good time!

The tin container suits the game perfectly. The card holder inside could be much sturdier to put on the table for drawing cards. It's definitely an adult game, with some words being unknown to myself and friends I played with. We'll need to add more cards soon as we see the cards repeating after several game nights. Overall I'm very pleased with my purchase and would recommend it to others.

Have you ever played Cards Against Humanity (CAH)? That hilarious game with fill-in-the-blank phrases that result in some truly weird final options? Dot Dot Dot is basically that, but with text message conversations as prompts instead. You read a text conversation from one of the larger cards, and then the other team or teams select from their smaller cards what would be the funniest thing to fill in the blank in that text conversation with. Hilarity ensues. It makes for a great party game, or just a great way to pass the time with weirdness and laughter when you have a couple of friends over. Honestly, the only area in which this game stumbles is that text conversations are kind of difficult to read out sometimes. With CAH, you had a short sentence or two with a blank to be filled in, but with Dot Dot Dot, you basically have to take on the role of 2 people having a conversation in order to give the prompt. Or just pass the large card around so that everyone can merely read the prompt, which is more convenient but less entertaining. If you have multiple people acting as a team you could always actually have 2 people conversing, but this isn't really a team game. It's a game played by individuals. So it can get a little awkward to properly convey the prompt at times. Still, if you're decently adept at tones or voices, then you can probably just do that to convey the correct person speaking in the text prompt, which is what I did when playing. But not everyone's good at that, or it might not convey well to other people. That's really this game's biggest flaw. But honestly, if you can get past that, it's a lot of fun, and will provide plenty of laughter!

Certainly a fun game for ADULT gatherings, this game has many possible outcomes. The Dot Dot Dot Adult Card Game: The Party Game of Terrible Texts - Texting Edition comes in a nice metal tin, and includes 60 conversation cards, 300 answer cards and the set of instructions. The basic setup is that each player draws 10 answer cards (face down). The deck of conversation cards is placed in the middle of the group. Game play has the person who has sent the most recent text begins as the judge, and plays a conversation card. The judge reads the conversation on the card (many of which are quite funny). Players then submit one answer card for each blank to fill in on the conversation card. The judge shuffles all of the answers and shares each card combo with the group. For full effect, the judge should re-read the conversation with each possible answer for the group (which if the group is large can get tedious). The JUDGE then picks the best submission for the winner. The person who wins is the judge for the next round and gets a point for the win. When we played, there were 8 of us. The game goes quickly when the conversation cards are short and have only one blank. It was a bit confusing if there was more than one blank to fill in. There are different versions of play (different rules) to help mix it up. Overall, fun game but absolutely ADULT content.

The premise of this game is the same as Cards Against Humanity – one person is the judge and randomly selects and reads the [large] conversation card, and each other player plays a [small] answer card. The judge reads inserts each answer while re-reading the conversation card, and selects the best (typically funniest) answer. We liked the back-and-forth conversation, however if you can’t see the conversation card, it can be hard to follow the conversation. To remedy this, we make big pauses between each person’s text to make it a bit easier to follow. Because Cards Against Humanity only uses a statement, this confusion is avoided. The other issue with this game is that the conversations are worded in a way that sometimes the structure of none of your answer cards properly fit the conversation. In Cards Against Humanity, questions are worded so that typically at least half of your answer cards could be played and make some degree of sense. Answer cards can be raunchy but are generally more tame than Cards Against Humanity. The game is shipped in an attractive tin. Annoyingly, the little “triangle” off the bottom of the speech bubble prevents the lid from being attached to the bottom of the box during game play (since it isn’t symmetrical). Overall, we enjoyed the game, but I don’t see any reason to recommend it over Cards Against Humanity which is cheaper and has many more expansions already available.
