Knuffelwuff12694 Leather dog bed Jerry - size XXL, 120 x 100 cm, black

I have bought many, many beds in my time for my dogs. Mostly however, have been for my aged Rottweiler who is now arthritic, old and VERY heavy on his beds. If you read my reviews you will see two of the beds bought this year, this black leather look is the third the other two just didn't make it. This bed is made of good quality material, made to house a BIG dog and hold the dog's head. Being a Rottweiler he has a heavy head, none supported it - this bed has a raised section round it and it holds his head up nicely with no flattening of the bed. He jumped onto it and hasn't moved all day, telling me he IS comfortable. When a dog is arthritic it doesn't lie long without moving or jumping up and down to make itself comfortable, well goes to show how a well made bed can change that and make an old man happy. It is nicely padded, raised slightly off the ground by the padding and so far so good, it hasn't even an imprint of my dog in it. Another factor to me trying this item is, you don't have to wash the whole bed, no more trips in and out of the washing machine and tumble dryer. A wet soapy cloth, with a little disinfectant and it comes up like new. I will never give credit where it isn't due, so believe me when I say this is a good bed. It doesn't break the bank and is A okay. Plus has the Knuffelwuff name and above all else a very grateful old dog sleeping soundly on it as I write this review.

Due to the construction of the bed, my dog was able to scratch through it in a matter of a couple of months - he has a way of arranging his bed as he lies down. Had to be thrown away. Would be fine for dogs who just settle and don't move.

Its a shame that it isn't actually leather as described. It hasn't lasted long as my dog's paws have worn through the base already. It was great when it first arrived but it wears very quickly and we have had to put a square of carpet in the middle of the bed to cover up the holes.

great product, our dog loves it. Shame that the bottom isn't also leather but a very high quality product nevertheless.
