Gibson Elite Soho Lounge Reactive Glaze Stoneware Dinnerware Set, Service for 4 (16pc), Blue

After researching this company I really liked the looks and style of their plate set. There were plenty of reviews good and bad to filter through including some bad reviews that show the plates being cracked under heat in the microwave or chipping in certain areas. Most of the bad reviews were 4-5 years ago and this particular set is a newer model plateware set so I thought I would give it a shot thinking Gibson had improved their products. You’ll be happy to know dear reader that they are amazing. There were no chips or discoloration. Nothing was broken and was padded pretty well in the packaging box. I think you’ll be impressed with the quality. The plates, bowls, and coffee cups have a fantastic smooth artisan feel and it’s something you have to glide your fingers across to know what I mean. It truly feels like a premium set. What I like most, is that the plates are dishwasher, microwave, and oven safe. They have it imprinted on the bottom of the plates in case you need proof. I tested out these plates in all 3 of these areas and nothing went wrong. Highly impressed. For the cost of this set, it’s well worth it aesthetically and I hope you’ll pick up this set for yourself

I needed to replace a few year old dish set that had chips from years of use. I had a tough time deciding on a new set with so many options out there. I finally decided on this set for a few reasons: modern look, depth of bowls, and the included mugs. When the set arrived, the packing job was top quality. I took my time unwrapping and put them in the washer. First use - the square plate design is new to me. I actually prefer these over circular plates based on not only style but practicality. The mugs I use for coffee and the design is a perfect size for a cup of Joe in the morning. The cup retains the warmth of the coffee without heating the outside of the mug. As for bowls, these are perfect for soups, cereal, and pho. Again, like the mugs, the outside doesn't heat up and burn your hands. I really dig this and would definitely recommend this product to anyone needing an everyday dish set.

These are lovely, weighty pieces at a very fair price. The glossy red and matte black combination is as pretty as the pictures. While the plates and bowls are not inconveniently oversized, they are definitely a bit heavier than I was expecting... If you have arthritic hands or weak grip strength, this set might not be your best choice.

These are very pretty, I like the color and shape. I'd I had to fault the dishes, it would be inconsistency in color between pieces (small plates are lighter blue) and one large plate was chipped/lacking glaze. It is minor enough for me to just deal because I don't want to go through hassle of a return. I did verify I was sent the Bella Soho and NOT the Soho Lounge (there's some price difference and color difference). I will likely buy another set as I need service for 8. Hopefully, the colors will match.

I have not used them yet, but they are a little on the heavy side, but I like that because it shows that it’s made well. The color contrast is absolutely beautiful the plates curve up which makes it easier when you eat. The bowls are nice and deep, which I love! I’m not sure if they chip easily as I said because I haven’t used them. But I did wash them and put them away, and they seemed very solid.

Lucked out maybe? Got 2 boxes of the blue/black and was perfect! No broken or chipped anything, no bubbles, and where the two colors meet looks great as well. A nice sturdy and quality set that is luxurious feeling for everyday use. Bowls are nice and deep. Can easily fit a whole can of Campbell's soup. Plates have tons of real estate, mugs do very well in the microwave. Been putting all in the dishwasher and so far everything is holding up nicely.

Great !! Love the style but it' s little bit heavy ... just be carefull after washing it tend to slip so get a goog grip !
