It's What I Needed
This edging is not the kind of edging you should use to delineate the space used for ground cover such as rocks and wood mulch because it is so very thin, but it is what I needed to add a little height to the upper rim of some 20" pots that contain dwarf citrus trees. I needed to add the height so that I could put some cedar mulch on top of the pots to help deter grasshoppers and other insect pests and this edging prevents the mulch from falling out of the pots. This edging was easy to cut to size with an old pair of dollar store scissors. I also used the scissors to cut a sawtooth pattern extending halfway up the edging to make it easier to insert into the ground around the inner rim of the pots. I think this edging would probably work well for blocking the roots from plant ground cover from entering areas where you don't want the ground cover to grow.

Make sure this fits your purpose!
Depending on usage purpose, this product works well. I used it as a temporary fix to skirting of a mobile home to cover weed wacker damage. It makes the skirting look whole again. Bends easily for cornering and the perfect height!

Works Well
We used this up against the bottom of our fence where the ground is uneven and we didn't want to pile dirt around where the fence would rot. This provided us with a nice solid/even line at the bottom of our fence that can touch the ground without worry of rot. It feels a little flimsy (not in a negative way) and it can kinda kink and bubble, so make sure you have plenty of stakes or whatever you are using to secure it handy. Don't be afraid to over use them. We applied this is Spring of 2022 and it is holding up really well. It has survived snow and ice without cracking and many assaults from the weedeater without visible markings. It also helps keep our pets in and other critters out.

Flimsy!
Absolutely horrible product. This edging is so flimsy. It's like trying to pound a Ziploc bag into the ground and expect it to hold up right. So we had to dig it in, okay, no big deal. However, when the edging was done, it looked subpar. The next day, after being in the sun, it was so wavy it looked horrendous! Do not buy, not worth the headache!

Flimsy but works
This product is a lot thinner and more flimsy than competing edging that you can buy in store. But it’s also cheaper. If you have a small area to edge, I would pay more and get the better stuff. If, like me, you have several hundred feet, then careful installation will make this product work OK. If you don’t take your time when you install it, it looks wavy and terrible. To get a straighter edge, I ended up setting a 2x4 in the trench next to the edging on one side and backfilling the trench on the other side. Then remove the 2x4, and backfill that side. Then tamp down the soil on both sides at the same time to prevent it from tilting one way or the other when you push the soil down. Also, make sure your trench is deep enough before you begin. The edging is not sturdy enough to be pushed down into the soil, and you can’t hammer it down after it’s installed (as you can with Vigoro edging for example).

Great For Strawberry Fountains
We built some raised strawberry beds with this landscaping coil. It was pretty easy to do. Just a quick measurement to lay it out, a few stakes, a few screws, and the landscaping coil trimmed to length (easy to do with scissors) made short work of the layout. Fill the first tier with compost / topsoil mix and did the second and third tier. Great way to garden in small spaces.

Very flexible, not very useful
The product is just as it looks in the photo--very thin plastic edging material. I am not sure what this is truly useful for, but for my purposes, it did not work very well and was incredibly hard to install. Again, it may be because I tried to put it into ground filled with rocks and tree roots. Maybe this will work better for people without any trees or rocks? I'm attaching pictures--for what that is worth. Basically, I recommend you dig a five inch deep trench the entire length of the area where you want to put the edging--on both sides of the walkway in my case. If you hit a thousand and one rocks per square inch and/or tree roots of an inch or more in diameter every foot--buy bricks instead and save yourself the 9+ hours of digging I put myself through. It looks terrible--I haven't included the finished other side because I just gave up and crammed it in as best I could because the bugs started biting. It took me three days in the @#!*^% heat to try and get this done. Heaven help you if you have any problems like I did. Oh, and don't bother buying any stakes. This material is so thin and bendable, the sides don't stay upright and the stakes stand away from the material. Since I used the stakes to try and keep the material standing straight, I can't return them. Buyer beware. Oh, the only good thing I found was it was very easy to cut with secateurs.

Other than this border material being way thinner than the description states (is it only 3/64th of an inch) it does the job of setting a defined border between the lawn grass and the shrub planting area. Very easy to cut and shape into gentle curves. I am curious how well it will hold up to the cold winter weather here in Ontario. Even if it cracks I have enough remaining from the original roll to redo the shrub area border.
