Can i use this on a commercial deep fryer tank

I’m not sure used it on an air compressor tank which was steel and it worked just fine I suppose you could use it on the fryer but you would have to solder it obviously on the outside cleaning it and grinding it very well before you do it I actually use an acetylene tank with a flame open and it worked just fine

Is there an good alternative to this stuff ? It is way too expensive.

I had the same problem. I tried Harris Safety-Silv 56% Flux Coated Silver Solder 1/16". Couldn't tell the difference. It looks like any 56% silver solder is about the same. Just google 56% silver solder.
