I was really happy when I discovered these toys quite by accident and brought them for my granddaughters, they went absolutely crazy for PinyPons while we were in lockdown I just wanted them to know I was thinking of them. When my granddaughters FacedTimed me with their happy squeals I decided to get them other Pinyponys so I bought them more sets waited a month and then sent them to the girls.Unfortunately I then decided to do a search to find out how sets of toys and figures they had and if they had any that look like my grandchildren. That’s when my heart sank they only have one figure that represents a person of colour his skin is as dark as night and he’s grinning with these bright white teeth, and here’s the kicker he’s a burglar the only black figure has dark skin (not complaining about that) but...a burglar? Way to feed those negative stereotypes of black people by getting them young black people as bad guys or maids and other servants well done. No more Pinypon for my grandchildren. My grand children’s toy room reflects their environment so they have toys that look like them and their friends and neighbors all skin colours are represented.
