Lovely selection of colours. Great yarn for crochet. If doing large project the yarn is small bundles but just what I needed

I’d seen this set a few times so decided to treat myself. Beautiful quality yarn. Lovely to crochet with. Wonderful lively colours. Had fun using the little balls to make up a hexagon blanket. Joyful

Lovely mix of colours

Order arrived on time in excellent condition. I am planning to make a multicoloroured shawl so this set is ideal for the purpose. The colors are beautiful, the quality is good.

I purchased this with some money that was gifted to me and I have absolutely no regrets! I was able to use the entire pack to crochet this beautiful blanket. It was fun to sit and rearrange the colours into a rainbow order that suited me as well as the actual crochet part. I'm not always a fan of Scheepjes as a lot of their yarns are loosely spun and will untwist constantly, however Catona doesn't do this and is a very firmly wound yarn, that being said it is very soft and drapes gorgeously. Given that these are 4ply I used a 3.5 hook and that was quite perfect for it. A tiny complaint was that I really wish the colour names were printed on the bands as this is a big thing for me I must admit - this line has so many beautiful names and it's ashame to not show them off. I personally went through the box and wrote on the names because this made them easier to identify when I had to make the colour order list for my blanket. I think the box is pretty good value as the price of £65 puts each ball at around 60p and as a comparison, my regular yarn purchasing website of Wool Warehouse would put single 10g balls at 79p. Only thing I disliked in the long run after lovingly using this blanket in the summer months was that it pills quite badly, I was always finding it covered in coloured fuzz. But it's not the biggest deal ever, I still don't regret buying or making this!

I had read in the reviews that this was smaller than people expected, but was still caught off guard! The whole box is a similar size to a jigsaw puzzle box. But the wool looks lovely, and my mother-in-law (who is a keen knitter) was absolutely delighted when she opened her gift this morning, not phased in the slightest that this is more of a box of samples. No doubt it will be used to create some beautiful stripy/patchwork items or toy clothes. I got it to go with the book “Knitted Animal Friends” by Louise Crowther, as she recommends Scheepjes Stonewashed yarn. However, although the 10g balls of wool may be enough for making some of the clothes, there isn’t enough of each colour to knit a whole animal.

I have worked with metropolis before and needed another colour pack for a project I am going to do. Did a bit of searching on line and came across this pack which was around 70% cheaper than other retailers. Arrived within 24 hours of ordering. This yarn is so soft and beautiful colours.

Un paquete de 80 ovillos distintos que es una maravilla, sobre todo al precio al que ha estado. La lana es resistente pero suave. Esta compuesta por 75% merino extra fine + 25% nylon. Los ovillos son de 10g (40m). Se puede mirar la pagina de Scheepjes para ver qué se puede hacer con ella. Recomiendo el CAL Festival of lights, que usa el paquete más dos ovillos extra de tamaño normal.

Sehr schöne Wolle, große Farbauswahl. Besonders die Riverwashed Knäuel gefallen mir sehr gut. Die Wolle ist schön weich und deshalb ideal für meine Patchwork-Decke, die ich gerade stricke. Hab das Garnpaket nochmal nachbestellt. :-)

Using this yarn to make a blanket ( Sophie’s Universe) Pretty good to work with. Only a small amount of splitting

Received the Cahlista colour pack (aran weight, un-mercerized 109 balls) [versus others' mention of Catona pack (fingering weight and mercerized)] Manufacturer seems to have doubled one of the 109 colors they advertise while missing one; seems to be a common error. Still get 109 mini skeins though. Cahlista is way softer than Catona; it also seems to drape better. The colors seem to be muted; because it's not mercerized.
