These are well made and work great. For those saying the holder pulls straight out of the base, the holder has a little bump on it that has to go down into a groove. Once it's in there you can turn it any direction and it won't come out unless that bump and groove line up. So, mount it in such a way that they can't line up. For example, if you're mounting so that the rods go up and away from you in the normal fishing position, mount it so that the holder goes in with the rods pointing toward you, then rotate it 180 degrees. The holder won't come out unless it turns so that the rods are facing you.

The quality is good. The only issue I had was the sharp edges. They needed to be deburred for better comfort while using. The units are excellent and worth your money.

These rod holders are plastic but are well built and sturdy. Installed VERY easily!!! I actually had both installed in less that 10 minutes. It is nice they are adjustable vertically and horizontally. I did notice there is a trick to getting the two parts to stay together.... kind of hard to explain but when you put the rod holder into the bracket you have to twist it a certain way to get to LOCK in. I read where some people have pulled them out and lost them in the bottom of the lake because they weren't locked in. At first I didn't think they did lock in and agreed it would have been easily to drop them in the water, then I figured out how to twist them so they stayed in. It's not rocket science and keep trying until you get it. I am VERY happy with these and feel they will last for years! I highly recommend and would give them an A+

These rod holders seem to be sturdy but I haven't tried them out yet. The description stated they mount to all rails. My rails are square 1" aluminum tubes. The screws that came with the holders were to short for the tubes and I had to purchase 8 screws that were 1" longer. That is the reason I gave them 3 stars.

Easy to mount on my hand rails. I have 4 spread around the bow. The only drawback, when you drop in the holder to the base, it has only one position and does not lock into place. Otherwise, I like them.

Held up to 30 lb fish without a problem.

Not as good as other more expensive ones but at this price they are a good value.
