STALE AND TERRIBLE TASTE
STAY AWAY!!! This baklava was very stale, terrible taste and they don't offer returns at all! I rarely come here to post a review. But for this one I had to. The manufacturer of thos item used to make delicious baklava, however it seems that this batch been sitting at some sellers location with terrible storage conditions. Most likely it's been stored at a very hit facility which caused this nasty taste. Such a shame. There is no more integrity in most businesses, and the consumers pay the price!

Fresh and Delicious !!! Perfect for a party, Perfect to gift, and Perfect for everyday!
Like many, I only review in one of the two instances- REALLY good, or REALLY terrible, and I am taking the time to write this review because these Baklavas are VERY GOOD. I got them for a party I hosted alongside Arabic mezze. They were a HIT! -Packaging & Delivery: The beautiful round tin box arrived in one day, in perfect condition, and upon opening the lid, I was surprised how ALL of the pieces were together as seen in the picture on top of the lid. -Content: They are the perfect bite size assortment of Baklavas which was the winning point! Everyone felt good trying all three assortments (and repeats) because they were small. I served with some strong Arabic coffee in Briki, and each one contained just the right sweetness for each sip of the coffee. -Taste & Freshness: Fresh, crisp, and deliciously sweet! I live in NYC, and there are a plethora of Arabic Sweet places with some outstanding Baklavas- these ones were just as good/better than many without being too overwhelmingly sweet. -Value: Local Baklavas range anywhere from $13-$18 per Lbs, and considering the pristine packaging and authentic ingredients, they are very well priced. (I froze the leftover and had them again thawed, and they were just as good!) As a lactose-intolerant, I often resort to Arabic sweets and these are one of the best ones I have had including the ones I had in the Middle East. I will be trying they Mamul cookies and Barazik & Ghreibeh, too! They are definitely making my special occasions gift list!

These are great
This is the perfect little bite size of yummy goodness. Goes great with coffee or tea. Kinda pricey. We received them initially as a gift and well... its what the holidays need.

Looked gross, tasted bland. Disappointed.
Very disappointed. For a company that claims to have been making high quality sweets for 150 years, you think they would have figured out a few things. Flavor: all the same. Seriously, each of the differently-shaped sweets has the same exact flavor (i.e., honey and pistachio). And even that isn't really special. I have had significantly tastier baklava and other such treats from local establishments. These were just bland. Texture: the one highlight was that the tightly packed filo dough was still relatively crispy and the pistachios still have crunch. Presentation: the first thing I saw when I opened the tin was that it wasn't completely filled. I'm talking like, 65% full as compared to the photos presented on the product adverts. If the package hadn't come sealed I would suspect someone had taken their pick of it beforehand. Those items left were all jumbled about and strewn around the tin. Maybe it was from transport, who knows. Save yourself the disappointment and buy somewhere local. Or give as a gift to a blind relative who has never had baklava before.

Delicious dessert- nice size and design, great factory sealed plastic wrap ensures freshness.
Delicious dessert - Always a nice gift; the circular tin-package is a nice generous size and attractive design, plus has a great double factory-sealed plastic wrap to ensure freshness.
