Make it HARDER to ride clipless pedals with regular shoes
I don't understand how anyone can think this is a good product...their sole purpose is for riding on clipless pedals with regular shoes, and they make this task Much more difficult.Their weight causes them to hang under the pedal all the time so its almost impossible to get your shoe on both of them and start riding. You also have to buy cleats for them for another $15. I tightened the cleats as tight as possible and on the first ride BOTH of them loosened so the platform was wobbling all over the place. The tension on my clipless pedals is perfect for my shoes which have the same exact cleats as i put on the platform pedal, but it is almost impossible to get the platform off the pedal when you want to. I had to use a hammer to pry them off sideways and it cracked the platform.I tried them once and I am trying to return/get a refund, and definitely will never use them again. Like I said, they make it harder to ride on clipless pedals with regular shoes.I will say they are high quality, and a good idea, but they are simply terrible because they hang down under the pedal and are so hard to take off. Don't waste your $$$ like I did.

Good in theory, bad in practice and overpriced.
I ignored the other posters comments that they make it harder at my own peril. The weight means they are *always* flipped down int he wrong position. And flipping them back over is easier said than done as they instantaneously flip back to wrong.Plus, but they time you buy another set of clips, you are better off just buying a dual sided pedal like the Shimano PD-A530.

only metal SPD insert pedals I could find
These are great pedals. finally some metal pedal inserts I could chuck on my road bike. Caution: make sure you put single release cleats on them, not double. If you don't they could pop out much more easily than they should.Recommended product. converts you performance bike into an around towner.

They do the job
I am using the platforms with CB Smarty and Candy SL pedals and they work fine. You can't really hammer on these things or they will release, but if you are going to be hammerin', you should take the time to put on your hammerin' shoes! Perfect for trips around the corner or spontaneous little excursions - I can click these onto my pedals in about a tenth of the time it would take to get shoed up for clip-in, and I can walk - or even run - comfortably without worry when I get to where I'm going too!

Good Add to SPD Pedals
These are cool - get whatever pedal you want and then clip these in when you want to wear non-cycling shoes. Good support and traction. You have to also purchase cleats, as the Decksters don't come with them - I'm using the Decksters with Crank Bro. Candy pedals and they work great. Easy to install and uninstall. I haven't had any problem with them releasing while being used. A little pricey, especially after you buy cleats, but they work for what i wanted them to do.

Don't stay on very well...
While they are easonably priced, these platform adaptors seem to pop out extremely easy essentially negating their value. If I knew they wouldn't stay on as well, I'd have bought a proper pedal that is both clipless and wide enough to accomodate normal shoes. It's a pity. I had high hopes for them. Perhaps if i tighten my clipless pedals more....

too heavy
I don't like how heavy these platforms are. It's annoying that when attached to SPD pedals, they are always facing down so you have to flip them right side up with your foot and then start pedaling. I would rather opt for just a one-side-SPD-other-side-normal kind of pedal.
