Well Made
Lighter than a Dinghy with a wooden floor at 75 lbs its very stable even in 3 foot waves. I use a 6 HP Suzuki outboard on it, weight 55 lbs and the transom handles that weight no problem. It doesn't plane, only goes about 5 mph but that's OK for my purposes. I've seen video of this boat at plane going 12 mph with a 10 HP outboard, one person, but a hundred pound outboard is more weight than my back can handle. On a sailboat you have to be able to take off the outboard and pull this boat onboard. A 55 lb outboard is my maximum because you have to lift it off and on, a 75 lb boat is also my max.

Great lightweight dingy
This 9 foot inflatable dingy is a fine product. I wanted an inflatable that supports mounting an electric outboard motor on the transom, that I could carry up a 15 foot high gravel bank by myself, and that had seating for at least three. The Seascape II Air Mat Floor Inflatable has worked very well during four months of use, carrying us from the shore to our moored power boat, taking us on excursions up to a mile from our beach, and being carried down and up a trail with a 115 foot elevation gain at the beginning and end of our boating season. All summer we leave this boat on the beach, and in the off season we store it in our garage. It is easier to carry with two or three people, but I have been able to move it by myself numerous times. If you want a durable light weight inflatable with a V-hull (via an inflated "rib" under the inflatable floor that pushes the hull into a V-shape), that handles well with or without a motor, this Newport Vessels product is a great choice.

Solid and sturdy!
Initial impression is that it seems to be Extremely high quality materials. Took a while to ship and after titling it I was informed it was a 2018 model. ???I also think it needs a second seat. Just got my 5HP propane motor and ready to test it out.

Very happy with the boat
Very happy with the boat. The shipping container was not in good shape when we received it. That is the only downside. It was easy to setup and serves our purpose perfectly.Update: The dinghy has performed great. We needed a part recently and received great customer service.

High sides get a high five from my family.
exactly as advertised, rows more easily than I predicted. Moves right along with my electric motor (55), High sides make it user friendly for my wife and kids. Looks strong and durable enough. I am happy!!!

Great boat
I am very pleased with the quality of this boat. I am impressed with the air floor. It is a little bit mushy in rough water but that is to be expected. I would recommend it.

A versatile, safe boat, and If issues arise, an excellent company to deal with
I bought a 2012 Newport Seascape in 2013 and was very pleased with this as a tough, safe, rowable sailing tender. I used it in Maine, with and without an electric motor, about 2 months a season, and stored indoors off-season. It started leaking in 2014 from slow leaks that were hard to find until they became bigger leaks in 2017 and 2018, when some critical glued seams gave out completely. Newport was responsive to my concerns, provided helpful advice on repairs, and ultimately more than fair when I decided to replace the boat with a newer model featuring important 'bug' fixes such as better welds, transom, and seating For marine gear where safety is such a priority, this is the kind of company I want to deal with but rarely encounter. Considering the high cost of inflatables made by the older names, people should consider Newport without hesitation.
