Increases Counter Space
I have had the usse of something similar which belonged to my mother for 15 years or so. It gave up the ghost. I went searching for this item on Amazon, and to my delight it was available. I used it on the day of it's arrival. Well made with solid board wood. The extendable handles move easily, no fighting with the product, and remain in place over the sink very well. I am very happy that I found this particular Sink Board.

Serves its purpose
This was bought to replace one that was about 40 years old. I kept a plastic basin under it to hold dirty dishes in the kitchen sink until the dishwasher was unloaded, to thaw frozen foods, etc., and I liked being able to hide such things from immediate view. It also was handy as a cutting board, but it eventually warped, showed a lot of wear, and looked horrible, so I hunted for a replacement for years. Voila! Why didn't I think of Amazon sooner? Unlike my old one, though, the finish is rather rough, so I cannot be completely sure of a thoroughly clean surface if I use it as a cutting board. Another problem is that the "props" that suspend it from the edges of the sink tend to slip, and the board falls into the basin below. I had to stuff birthday cake candles into the holes to keep everything in place. Works for me!

Smooth and attractive!
I recently had to replace my 25 year-old faded and rusting "adjustable cutting board." Thought I'd have trouble finding a replacement for what is a rather small sink. I should have known better! Shopping at Amazon first, saved me precious time (and money). This board fits perfectly with generous extenders and the wood itself is beautiful! I do not use wooden boards for cutting because of bacterial growth (I'm a nurse and I do recommend that everyone avoid wooden cutting boards)...this is strictly to cover the sink and display an occasional vase of flowers. It's pretty enough just left bare! Five stars for the product...five plus stars to Amazon!

Poorly designed. Poor quality.
This is a very poorly designed over-the-sink cutting board. The only desirable aspect is that it is made of wood. Although this board is meant to be expanded to fit different sink sizes, the supports are too weak and flexible to make this possible. These inserts only support the board when they are fully inserted, and you cannot use the supports as handles because they slide in and out of the holes freely. As my sink takes a board that will fit with near fully inserted supports, I was able to use Gorilla Glue to hold the inserts in place. So far that is working well. However, previous reviews indicated that the board may also warp or the glued sections become unglued. So far this has not happened, but I have not had it long. Given the poor reviews I read at the time of purchase, I only bought this board out of desperation. I have a 20 year old over-he-sink board that still works well, but is well worn, beat up, and on it's last legs. The design is not that different from this board, but the differences are critical. The inserts of my great old board are made of strong painted metal (not weak, flexible metal coated in easily damaged vinyl) and are set in place by set screws on the underside so they stay where they are placed. The manufacturer needs to upgrade the quality of the board and make important design changes; mainly, use sturdy strong inserts that are set with screws so that where need them is where they stay and and the inserts not only support the board but serve as handles for pulling the board out from wherever it is stored, usually under the sink. I think design and quality are particularly important as my impression is that there is a demand for a good over-the-sink cutting board that will fit different size sinks, even if, with modern variation in sink size, there is a need for several sized boards with insert adjustment capability. In my opinion, this manufacturer/seller is missing the boat and will probably earn little more than a bad reputation selling this item. Hard to imaging how one could do a poorer job of it.

It's a nice-looking board, but the support wires should be larger
Although the board is nicely-made, the vinyl-coated wires used to support it are too small, which means the board slips back and forth quite easily and drops into the sink. Also, the wires are too flexible, which means that the board isn't stable enough for cutting anything that requires downward pressure from the knife. The combined effect of slipping and flexing could result in injury to the user! I purchased this board to replace one of a similar design, which we had used for many years. The support wires for the old board were larger in diameter and, therefore, much stronger. I discovered that the boreholes in the new board were large enough to accommodate these larger wires. So, after a bit of modification, I replaced the flimsy wires with the ones which had been on the old cutting board. Now the board is much stronger and more stable.

Looks very good.
Liked that it is made out of wood and looks good. Only minor problem is the extendable arms to put it over the sink. So far they have a tendency to slide back into the wood and let the cutting board drop into the sink. My wife is trying to glue them into the right position and the glue should be dry by tomorrow. She said she would not put anything breakable on it util the arms are working right.

Great Product
This is the second one of these I have owned. This new one replaced one that wire broke after 20 yrs. This cutting board sits in the sink and the wire handles adjust so there's no slipping or movement. I wedged two small wood screws where wire enters the wood to keep the handles from moving in/out. Great cutting board and cleaning the wood with bleach kills all bacteria for next use.

Creates a whole new workspace.
What a smart product- I have small kitchen and this turns the sink area into another workstation for my family. Looks modern and clean. Really, really like this- wood is polished(no splinters) and it’s got about 4 inches of play on either side (white metal extenders) so it’s completely adjustable
