.hack was more than just an anime. It was a cultural phenomenon that transformed the way an entire generation looked at the world around them. This wildly-successful franchise offered us all the chance to escape. Thanks to .hack, we no longer had to be normal. We could delve into The World in search of adventure. We could run dungeons, collect treasure, and lose ourselves in virtual labyrinths. Each new installment was a melding of future and past where the rules of reality no longer applied. .hack was our ticket to the wired world, and we couldn’t wait to log in. Rena and her twin brother Shugo enter The World, a massive online RPG. Playing as the limited edition characters Kite and Black Rose, the siblings encounter powerful monsters capable of sending players into real world comas. To save themselves - and The World - Shugo and Rena must unlock the secrets of the mysterious twilight bracelet before it’s too late Review: still fun and still awesome! - I absolutely loved Legend of the Twilight. In fact, it was appropriate, as I recalled some characters from it before I grabbed the DVD. I was always a BIG fan of Hack//Sign, and I only caught a few episodes of Legend of the Twilight long ago. I remembered Ouka the Divine Fist was my favorite character, and when I finally found the series, I grabbed it. It is just as amazing and fun as I remember it! Ouka is still definitely the highlight for me. Her character is WAY too fun and kick-tail all at once. Some people didn't care for the 'chibi-esque' character models of the main two characters Shugo and Reina, but considering the rest of the animation and such are pretty much on par with Sign (more or less), it's still 100% awesome in my book. I'm definitely glad I got this, both because of nostalgia, and also to finish the series, as I hadn't in the past. Still measures up today. (Not The Best .hack// But Still) One of the Best Anime Series of the 90's
.hack//SIGN was one of the original anime series that really hooked me into anime for good way back when. I used to stay up super late and make sure I watched at least it, and then after it quit airing, all of the prequels as well. I played every game and loved them equally. That said, this DVD collection is amazing. Granted, I already had all of it before, but having it condensed to one case is great for fans and new comers alike. I always recommend this series to my friends and I hope and pray that we will continue to see more of it in the years to come! I would also like to note that though this is my least favorite .hack// property, it is still worth a watch as well for fans of the series and the World itself. Haha. =]

Once you’re in the WORLD, it’s hard to log out to the real world.
Cartoon Network had me hooked when they showed this series. I couldn’t believe that I found this series on Amazon. It’s anime like these that possess you and you want to see them again, and again, and again.

Must have for .Hack fans
Remember having this when I was younger, but ended up selling it many years ago. Was happy to get it back again and get to rewatch it. The case was a bit smashed I guess in shipping, but its easy to fix.

surprise find
stumbled on this series of anime and is an interesting one. A number of good lives lessons in the the plot which is not preachy or too vague to be meaningless. so a good anime.

Very short series, only 2 Discs
Nothing like the previous versions, the storyline was actually pretty good but some of the content not so much. You have to heavily ignore the fact that the brother has an attraction to his twin sister in-game/incest vibe that you get from him a lot. When the characters blink their hair goes behind their eyes and disappears, kind of awkward. I still enjoyed the story though.

Though some fans might not consider this series canon, the callback to the PS2 games and quirky characters makes for a fun adventure and enjoyable series.
