Really great quality for the cost but a couple of big design flaws...
Wanted to preface this by stating that ever since I discovered the vertical mouse concept, I've used one. I'm on the computer a lot and I generally won't use one now for longer than a few minutes without one because it's just that much relief on my wrist/forearm.That being said, this mouse is uncomfortable to use. My ring finger constantly feels out of place if my index and middle finger are where they are supposed to be on the mouse - almost as if the finger itself doesn't belong (which is weird to say, I know) or that it's on the verge of cramping because of how the mouse should be/is designed to be held. The second issue regarding this mouse is one that others have written about but didn't explain quite as well and that is the middle mouse button. Not necessarily using it and it scrolls well and sounds/feels pretty good to do so but pushing down on it...not so much. It feels like it's almost jammed - like it's sunk too far into the mouse and you have to readjust your other fingers and thumb just to get the necessary leverage to push down on it.Otherwise, the mouse is actually really good quality and looks pretty awesome - the rainbow light effect that circulates on the bottom of the mouse makes it very unique and again, for this price-point, you aren't going to find much better, if at all.Overall - it's still good quality for the money but the issues mentioned above are preventing a better score.

Feels great but forward/back buttons poorly placed
I've been using several different vertical mice for the past year and this one has the best feel of the ones I've used. I have "medium-large" hands and the mouse fits my hand perfectly. Its gripping surface material is non-slippery and comfortable. The only complaint I have is with the forward and back buttons. They're very small and it's too easy to press the wrong one, or both of them at the same time. It would have been much better to have one located above the thumb's normal position, and the other below it. That way you could just roll your thumb up or down to hit the buttons. I have a different vertical mouse that has that layout and it works much better (but that one has a more slippery surface and it's not as easy to hold onto the mouse as this Havit one is).

Very nice surprise
I bought this mouse a few days ago to replace an old Microsoft ergonomic mouse. I am glued to a PC all day and for me posture and ergonomics are very important. This mouse is very nice, especially for the price. If you have never used a vertical mouse, it may take a couple of days to get used to it but once you do you may never go back to a regular one. The relief on your wrists is almost immediate. The construction of the mouse is pretty good. It combines plastic with soft rubber for a good pleasant grip. The keys click nice and softly. You have a selection of DPI as well as light colors and sequences. Outside of the actual functionality of the mouse, I have to say, while I am more of a business user rather than a gamer, I am really digging RGB devices that add color to my desk. If you are in the market for a mouse like this, you cannot go wrong with this one. Recommended!

There is something loose inside.
Update: I reached out to havit support and they did get back to me. They offered a refund or replacement - I took the replacement. It arrived quickly and did not have the same rattle (which appears to be a block of metal glued in a slot on the inside used as weigh for the mouse). I have used the mouse now for a couple weeks and its not bad.My initial comment about the button position, while still valid, is more a function of the fact that the hand is not supported at all by the mouse. ie. you dont rest your hand on it, you rest your hand against it. The edge of your hand rests mostly on the mouse pad/table and while not really uncomfortable, tends to rub after a while. All in all though this mouse is not a bad product for the price and I want to say does alleviate some wrist strain I have been noticing. Also, the service response was reasonably quick.Original Review:Other than that, and given the short amount of time I've actually had the mouse in my hand (see Below), I do kinda like the feel of a vertical mouse. My initial impression is that I feel the buttons are too close to the top of the mouse. Holding it I just feel like my hand and fingers would be happier if the buttons were a tad lowerBelow: I got this mouse and immediately noticed something knocking around on the inside. There is something loose inside that makes a very noticeable noise when moved. I did plug in the mouse and it lit up and seemed to "function" but this rattle is a no-go. I have reached out to support but have not heard anything back yet.

Pleasantly surprised
Was shocked at the price considering how well this works, how comfortable it is and at the quality of the build and DPI options. The LED lighting gives it a perfect touch and matches my Rosewill RGB case :)Loving it so far, testing it out in the new Call of Duty shortly! If you're new to ergonomic mice don't freak out right away, your hand/wrist may feel uncomfortable at first but it will adjust quickly and the sideways grasp will put less strain on your forearm in the long run.

Great value, comfortable grip
You really can't best this vertical most with anything else at the same price point. It's large enough to fit my have comfortably, had really helped to relieve the pressure I feel in my wrist (my right hand had been broken more than once due to boxing injuries, so this is a huge plus), and the scalable dpi settings are great. The moose is incredible accurate and sensitive, too, not can be difficult to use in FPS games dude to the vertical orientation - but this is true of most all ergonomic move like this one.Areas to improve would be the scroll wheel placement. It's really awake to try and click when arranged like this, and I wonder if an unorthodox approach like placing the scroll wheel near your thumb instead could be of benefit. There's also only one button to scroll through a large handful of dpi settings, so changing in the fly isn't an option if you need to go from twitch reactions to show and stay sniping in game, but also not unusual for most mice.

Not quite as ergonomic as I hoped
EDIT: Downgrading this to 2 stars because after 9 months the scroll wheel no longer works :( Not the highest quality mouse, apparently, but you get what you pay for. This is the first vertical mouse I have tried. I do graphic design as part of my job and it's starting to hurt my wrist so I thought I'd try one of these. Took about a day to get used to it and I've used it for around a week. Things I like about it are that it looks very sleek, feels high-quality, and the texture is very comfortable and sweat and fingerprint resistant. The vertical shape encourages better posture by making it more natural for you to use your elbow and shoulder to move the mouse instead of your wrist (which is what leads to repetitive motion injury of the wrist) However, there are some features that make it uncomfortable to use so I wouldn't necessarily call it ergonomic. It is very hard to click with the scroll wheel, the way the mouse is built you can't seem to put pressure on it in the right way to make it click. Annoying if you need to use this button often. Also, the mouse doesn't support your hand very well. I feel that the side with the buttons should arch more into your palm and fingers and that the side with your thumb should have a ridge to support your thumb. Without this, you have to strain your hand to keep it in the right position while holding onto the mouse instead of being able to rest your hand on it comfortably in a relaxed way.Another customer mentioned that the shape of this mouse makes you go for the "claw" grip. I experienced this as well and I found that this puts more stress on my hand as the claw grip is a tense position. As a result of using this mouse I stopped having pain on the left side of my wrist under my thumb, but the strain of holding the mouse vertically is now making the left side of my wrist hurt. It's a good low-budget mouse for non-intensive uses like browsing but not great if you need to do something like graphic design or gaming.

Nice mouse. Not for gaming though
The mouse is a nice feel and it looks nice.. but while gaming I noticed occasional unintended dpi drop while moving from left to right or right to left. It was bothering me and i noticed it while playing COD.. but couldn't quite put my finger on it. until out of game on my desktop i went back and forth from left to right and back and forth a bunch of times and noticed the mouse would slow down here or there. changed mouse pads, same thing. Tried on a different computer and same thing. It just doesn't have the precise consistency of a nice gaming mouse.

The middle mouse click is much too hard to click
I use a loose palm grip normally, but find that the way the mouse is designed has you more naturally reaching for a claw grip. This listing is quite new for the gaming variety of havit's vertical mouse, which replaced the wireless version. Not sure why, since both mice would satisfy 2 differenct demographics.the claw grip is fine what is NOT fine is how easy it is to click lmb and rmb near the front end, but how DIFFICULT it is to click the middle mouse button. esp. for Apex legends, where MMB is essential and frequent for ping system.I like that grip to the table is firm, and you can make more intense and swift movements because of how grabbable this mouse is. The two steps back however is most definitely the MMB actuation vs LMB/ RMB, it's like i'm using buttons from 2 different mice... extra dpi options, and rgb are alright.edit: in the process of trying a second mouse. will update with newsedit: mar 19Going back to another vertical mouse-- this one is starting to hurt my wrist. It's not for me. Something about the shape really makes it feels like my hand is slipping off and so I have to compensate to make my wrist "hover" without any actual support. If i relax my hand, my index has a hard time reaching the left mouse click.just to describe my daily use with this now, I'm constantly massaging my wrist, i feel some bad discomfort in my ulnar flexor. After this experience i see that mouse design is very tricky. While you can avoid problems like overpronating and overactive extensors that you may run into with a traditional mouse, this one gave me another problem altogether and honestly proved itself not very ergonomic for me at all. it was only $20, but I feel that more tests need to be done to create a better vertical mouse...I would maybe change the resting angle because this problem is mainly caused by having an unstable foothold, so to speak.I have used this mouse from Nov-March, so about 5-6 months on and off and finally after getting over some adapting and hardcore usage this mouse is just not cutting it.

Hands-down the best vertical mouse in the affordable range but with a learning curve
This is very comfortable - It has a thin, forward-swept profile and relatively low click pressure which are ergonomic details that a lot of brands overlook. It has a more extreme angle than most vertical mice, so it has more potential benefit for wrist strain relief but will require more acclimation time for users coming from a standard mouse. If you're willing to use a wrist rest and develop ergonomic technique (Relaxed grip with movement of the forearm and not just the wrist), it's one of the best designs on the market.

Finally bought one of these.
I've seen quite a few people use these kind of mouses but I never tried it myself. I went with this one since it looks good with my LED mouse pad. It takes some time to get used to it if you've only used a traditional mouse, but it feels much more natural once you do. My favorite feature is the DPI switch (you can quickly speed up or slow down the mouse pointer).
