Update: I went ahead and counted them and theres 493 in the bag. So it seems only a few fell out. I gave 5 stars because the capsules are good and dont feel the torn bag is the fault of the manufacturer in this case. I bought these because it seemed like a good price for the vegetable capsules. When I received the order it came in just a plastic Amazon bag, no box. I thought that was odd since the caps are easily crushed. To my surprise the capsules appeared fine and not damaged from shipping. But then I noticed loose capsules falling out of the shipping bag. Looking at the capsule packaging the top left corner appears torn and opened. It doesn't look sliced like with a knife or scissors, more like someone used there finger to poke into it. I'm scratching my head. This doesn't make any sense, I would think the person packaging the order would have noticed this. I'm holding up the bag trying to see if any or how many capsules may be missing but I have no idea what 500 capsules looks like. On the bag the label says packaged by weight but doesn't list a weight. I weighted the bag on my small kitchen scale and it says 66 grams. Is that the correct weight, I don't know. Can't really blame the manufacturer/seller. I went to start a return but it says the item is non-returnable. I'm not sure I'm comfortable using these, plus I don't know if any are missing. They could be all there, or 100 could be missing. I'm not about to start counting them out. The capsules themselves look fine, all put together, separate easily. I would buy these again if there wasn't an issue with the bag being open.

After going vegan due to health problems, I had to start making some of my own supplements because many of the ones in capsules were made of animal product. It was way harder than expected to find capsules that were plant based. But These contain no animal products, the price is reasonable, and they are very easy to put in a capsule maker. I have yet to have any issues! Easy to swallow, don’t stick to your tongue, and the capsules don’t dissolve in your mouth instantly. No noticeable taste! I am very satisfied and will buy this product again and again!

I have a medication that begins to dissolve the moment it is placed in your mouth. The problem: if I couldn't swallow it fast enough, it BURNED! I wasn't sure what to do because the last time it happened, the burning feeling was intense and it lasted for two hours in my throat. I was literally in tears. I went to a forum and happened to see that this was an issue for others who took this anti-arrythmia drug. It was a problem suffered by many! One person suggested getting these empty capsules as a way to solve this problem. I figured the size I needed to fit my pill and IT WAS PERFECT! Each month (I set my pills up a month at a time), I load each pill into its own little empty capsule. I've had no issues since. I've been doing this for a couple of years now. I should have written this review before.

I have been using this capsules for a while because I like to prepare my own vitamin supplements and so far it haven’t disappointed me. The only thing I don’t like is that is a little bit pricey, compared to others in the market, but I think the quality is great. Sometimes I keep it prepared with the medicine inside for up to a year and it doesn’t change in color or break.. I like this product. I wish it were cheaper.

One of my crucial medications used to come in a coated tablet, but that version is no longer available, and the replacement tablet is hard for me to swallow. If it dissolves even just a little in my mouth, the taste is really awful! I found that if I cut the tablet in two pieces on the score line, it will fit nicely into this size of capsule (00). These capsules come apart easily, and snap together with a satisfying click. I find it strange that the review asks you to rate the thickness and flavor by stars. You are meant to swallow them, not taste them. Ha.

Excellent value and very easy to swallow! I make my own capsules for my supplements as I prefer to be in control of exactly how much of something I’m taking and I can mix two things together where deemed necessary. First order lasted for almost a year! Just placed my second order today. By far the best price on Amazon for vegan capsules and count.
