Supplier Management Handbook

I think this is a very useful book for supplier quality engineers just strting this profession to learn how the basic processes work. It explains the basics really well, but I couldn't find what I was looking for.

This book contains the basic principles of general supplier quality management. I recommend to all those beginning the journey to develop suppliers and that have little or no experience in the subject. For more experienced professionals, it doesn't add much but lays out and define a good approach that can be customized to your company needs (and supply base). I'm not a big fan of inspections (mainly incoming inspections) and I think the book dedicates several pages to that. For those professionals in the Automotive, Pharmaceutical, Food or from any other industry that requires tighter quality controls, I also recommend reading "Supplier Evaluation & Performance Excellence" by Gordon.

I needed this book to study for related exam for an ASQ certification, as a supply chain professional. I passed the exam and now have the certificate! Good value to me!
