The BEST how-to self publish book Eva from Eevi
This “How-To” book is the only book you would ever need if you’re seeking anything, everything about your efforts, journey in self-publishing your own book, novel, etc. Eevi the author has had the most success herself in writing, editing many manuscripts. Highly recommended for the most comprehensive answers to common questions.

Exceptional step-by-step on self-publishing children’s books!
Yvonne Jones outlines everything on how to self-publish children’s books from start to finish. She has helpful tools in the book and online for every step of the process! She knows her stuff! Great book! Highly recommend! I gave my first copy to a friend who is also wanting to self-publish his first children's book. I bought this second copy for myself.(A side note on the quality of printing - since this is a print on demand item, the KDP printing company should look through the copy before sending - I had about a dozen "creased" pages throughout the inside of the book - not a quality print run, I'm afraid :(

A Good Self-Publishing instructional book.
I purchased this book because I wanted to get a feel of what it takes to write books. The author plainly knows what she is writing about. The book is sectioned into categories, explaining how each part of the book should be set up and why. She even has lists of who to contact for professional help in illustration, editing and production, which you can hire to get the book finished on time. An interesting and educational read.

Thorough and Step By Step Information
This book contains a step by step description of the process of creating and self-publishing a children's book. There is a lot of good information here. I couldn't give it five stars because many of the charts and illustrations are not legible or usable. Also, I think there is reason to do your own research of the sites she lists for finding illustrators to get really professional work done. However, Ms. Jones text information is thought provoking and useful.

Save Yourself Potential Frustration or Even Years
A few years ago, I wrote, illustrated and self-published 5 books for struggling/reluctant readers or simply for children who are ready to move from single letter recognition to reading CVC words, in a story format. I managed to get them completed and published, but it was a bear, a BIG BEAR!There’s a learning curve for self-publishing and an even steeper one for illustrated children’s books. Even though I got mine out there and selling, I hit an obstacle that’s held me back from self-publishing more, building a backlist, and helping and delighting more kids, an obstacle which Eevi has now given me the guidance to overcome:- finding and working with an illustratorFor me, this is the most perplexing, daunting part of the process. I don’t want poor illustrations, and I don’t want to waste huge chunks of money or tear my hair out working with someone difficult or disappointing.I have about 8 more ideas for books, but what’s in my mind to accompany the text or story is either waaaay beyond my artistic ability or in a completely different style. But when I tried to figure out how to find, hire and work with an illustrator, I was frustrated and gave up.Eevi’s info on this alone is worth way more than the price of the book. And she covers much more than that. She also has great advice for other aspects of the process, which I had already found out on my own, but which could really be helpful for others to have all in one place and streamlined, as well as a templates, swipe files and other resources.I’d say, if you want to self-publish one (or more!) children’s books, especially illustrated children’s books, you can either struggle through trying to piece together all the information yourself (like I did, probably getting stuck and giving up, or at least slowed down). Or you can learn from Eevi’s experience, avoiding a quagmire of mistakes, frustrations or unnecessary delays, and get your children’s book idea out of your head and into the hands of children.I’m convinced, if I had had How To Self-Publish A Children’s Book years ago, I’d be years further along with a bunch more books in the hands of kids, helping and delighting them.

Not the right title
I think this book should be called, "How to Write and Self Publish a Children's Book" because the first half is largely about writing the book and it aiming at a market. My guess is that most first-time authors have already written the book by the time they thing about publishing it and certainly, most first-time children's books are written by parents for their own children. This was certainly the case with me and as a travel journalist of many years, I'm content that I can write well enough (or I wouldn't get asked) so all I wanted from the book was a guide to avoiding the pitfalls and cutting straight to the chase of self publishing. The book, at least the version that I was sent, is also out of date; for publishing on Amazon it directs you to Createspace and this has been dumped in favour of Amazon Direct Publishing so, c'mon Amazon, don't be sending people out-of-date versions.

Out of date and where are the promised templates?
Disappointing as what I needed most was guidance on publishing on Amazon and this section was out of date and unusable (Createspace has been discontinued by Amazon).I bought the book as a paperback and the book said to go onto the website to access lots of templates. I searched the website for quite a while but couldn't find the templates. But there were lots of other things that the author was trying to sell.I did pick up a couple of things from it, but there are better and more up-to-date books.

Madness not to read for aspiring children's book writers
A few months ago, i decided to write a children's book, this is something i have been meaning to do for quite a while! so i did it! just sat down one day and wrote it! However then comes the next part, how to publish, where to find resources, a myriad of questions i did not know the answers too! I am no stranger to publishing, promotions and marketing, however i was new to publishing a children's book! I have read Evis's book cover to cover and frequently find myself using it as a reference guide, absolute madness not to read this book, if nothing else it confirmed to me what i had got right and pointed me in a few directions a had not considered. Highly recommend and also comes with a great backup website for downloads and resources.

The only resource you need
After spending several hours down several different rabbit holes researching how to promote the children's books I've written, someone said to me 'Why not just read Eevi's book?' It really is the only thing you'll need to read, and you won't even know just how good it is until you've read all the stuff you don't need to read.If you have a kids book and you want to get it on the market, and doing well, buy this book.I also followed up with a phone call with Eevi for more advice, which was incredibly useful.
