I think it's really carbon fiber. It feels jus like my carbon fiber ring. It works for opening bottles. And looks just like advertised. It came with 2. I gave 1 to my BIL and kept 1. We both love ours.

Falling Apart After Minimal Use
It works but I have no idea how long it will last for. Small bits are already chipping off, and it is falling apart quickly. It is neat looking and fun to have on my keys but I think it is probably made of plastic and not CF.
