The Richsing SMD5050 RGB LED color changing Lights are beautiful when installed correctly. I used them for backlighting my 80 inch TV. I used one 16 ft. Roll and about 4 ft. of the second roll. Connecting the two was not difficult, because both had a factory end already install. Although they are designed to be cut, I do not recommend it. If you have to cut the strip, make sure you have the right connector; be fore-warned, there are a ton of different types of connectors available on Amazon, and finding the right one to work with this light strip is very difficult. I never found a connector that would fit securely around the waterproof silicon. A better option for navigating corners is to form a very small loop and fold the sticky back over the silicone top. If you have extra double-sided 3M adhesive tape, place a small amount before and after the loop, otherwise the strip may lift a small amount from the surface. The lights work great with Amazon Alexa, and the app provides a lot of functionality with color changes. I’ve tried other brands, but these have been the best. I will definitely purchase more.

It works perfect

I like that these lights are controlled by an app but don't require wifi. The lights are great, but the effects are limited and just ok. They have a music function that allows you to play music through the app causing the lights to change, but I found this to be to much trouble; I have, however, used the Disco feature that uses the mic to pick up the music in the room to affect the lights. One of the connection pins didn't work for me, but I was able to hook them up differently. This area (where everything links together) is where these seem a little flimsy or cheap, but overall they are pretty good.

Terrible lights. They never worked from the minute I installed them. I have purchased and installed over 10 sets of light strips from different companies. I did not really get a chance to see if it was just a bad set. Only half of them turned on. I reset them several times and tried to find the issue. I never found what was causing this. I emailed the seller(Richsing) several times, and they never responded. So I am not sure if all the lights they sell are junk, or I got a bad strip. If they would have replied to my attempts, I would have been able to try another set. However, they did not even reply to three separate emails I sent them.

keeps falling down. and adhesive grabbed everything after it fell, and is now worthless. But it never was since it fell down to begin with. Had some spare 3m adhesive pieces left over from Christmas light hanging and they worked great and it hasn't fallen down since. Once section is different color than the rest, whether single color or in any other of the many modes. Love all the various functions. Cant figure out why that one section is different color, followed U TOOB video instructions exactly but it was like this from day one. could just be an isolated defect. But due to poor adhesion, i would not recommend, if that is not your concern and there are no other reviews about the color issue i am having then it's good product. When all kids are having a dance party with it, they could care less about the color issue.

I was expecting lights that randomly changed colors, which would have been perfectly cool, but this thing is awesome. It connects to your phone through the internet, and u can change the lights HOWEVER YOU WANT. Totally recommend this product, even tho it is a little on the pricy side.

The sticker on the back isn’t that strong to carry the light

It can be control by an phone app. Cool! Color is bright. I used one set for under cabinet light. the other set I put in my kids room for them to enjoy. Overall very happy with this product.
