Simple and functional
I wanted a simple remote to control the shutter on my NEX 5T and this been working wonderfully. I didn't need all the functionality of the Sony remote and wasn't willing to pay $25 when there were options like this that offered everything I needed for much less. The remote is simple and of reasonable quality. It came with a button battery with a plastic strip installed to remove before first use. It has two buttons, one for an instant shot and one for a two second timer. I only needed the instant shutter but found the two second timer great for giving me time to hide the remote before the camera snapped the picture. So far I have only used it from about 15-20 feet without any issues. I have also had success using it from about 1-2 feet behind the camera as well as from the sides. Overall I really like this remote and found the price reasonable. It comes with a little soft pouch branded with Foto&Tech and is very small for travel or leaving in a shirt pocket. This remote is also great if you're doing long exposures and don't want to use the camera shutter button to avoid movement. It's simple, functional, fair priced, and easy to recommend.

Works great with my Sony A6300 Camera
I purchased my Sony A6300 to start a food blog with my wife. When the camera is on a tripod and I am doing a shoot, sometimes the camera is in an awkward position and hard to push the button on the camera. After reading all the reviews, I took a chance on the FotoTech wireless remote. I was surprised at how small and light it was. I started to use it after the setup and have been very pleased with the results. Over the Christmas and New Years break, I used it to take family pictures. I was extremely happy again. The remote worked great for the family picture. It also has a button on the remote for a 2 second timer. Wow, my family was impressed. I would recommend this wireless remote to anyone with a Sony camera. Setup: I thought the setup would be complicated, but it was was very simple. All you have to do is go into the menu of your Sony A6300 and go to the last icon and go down and turn the remote to on. I thought there would be more, but all you have to do now is push the remote button. Summary: I would recommend this remote. Pros: 1. Easy setup. 2. Small and light. 3. 2 second timer button. Cons: 1. The remote will only work from the front of the camera. It will not work on the side or back.

Works with AF on A7riii
I bought this remote in order to take shots of gatherings with myself included (selfies) with my A7riii. Was tired of having to pair my phone to may camera via bluetooth, then connect, then change the settings in the camera to work with the phone etc... This remote connected instantly, with no hassle just by turning the remote settings to on, in camera. The remote itself is just cheap plastic. Doesn't seem like it would take much abuse, or be too weather resistant. It does have an instant focus and shoot button (main button) and has a 2 second timer. I 5 second timer would probably be a little more versatile. The only reason I give this 2 stores for versatility, is because it isn't versatile in the way you can use it. This will ONLY trigger shots through the info-red, which means you have to be clicking from 'in-front of" of the camera, not to the side or behind. That's just the nature of where the infa-red sensor is located, but can be annoying. I don't think it's made to be very versatile anyway.

Great Remote for Sony Alpha Series
Works as promised with Sony Alpha Cameras, and comes with batteries. The remote stopped working the moment I wanted to use it in my travels. I tested to see if it works the moment I got it from my door steps but it did not work at all when I was on my way to the airport. I tried many ways to troubleshoot it, including changing the batteries, making sure my camera is ready to receive the signal from the remote and restarting my camera. It made my trip slightly a hassle since I love to take pictures and I bought this remote to make sure that I can take pictures of my groups without having to resort to using the selfie style in which my arm would be sticking out. Update(8/23/2016): Foto&Tech reached out to me after seeing the review that I have made about this remote. Their customer service is awesome and I was able to get a replacement remote sent to me. After trying the new remote and confirming that it works, I proceeded to opening the defected remote and found that the connections for one side of the battery is not properly soldered. I did not want to open it before contacting Foto&Tech and that was a great decision, since they were able to help me resolve this issue quickly. Thank you Foto&Tech Customer Service for helping me out and I hope to do business with you again.

Ehh
It works with my A7 RII and that's about all I can say about it that's good. Well, it's cheap! The battery tray is junk. Two minutes after opening it I put it in upside down and nearly had to destroy it to get it back out. Even if you put it in the right way it's a pain to get out. The entire thing is thin, but I wouldn't call it small. It's about as wide and much longer than the keyfob to my truck. But about twice as thin. It is light, I actually forget I have it in my pocket sometimes. It seems like it could easily be smaller, but still it will easily find a space inside any camera bag pocket. The other strange thing about the size is it doesn't really fit in the pouch it comes with. It sticks out of it and then you can't close the pouch. It makes the pouch awkward and useless. Overall, it works and it's not expensive. It's just a little goofy how the battery tray works, the size/design of it, and why they even bothered including the pouch.

Super Fernauslöser für die Alpha 330. Funktioniert super leicht. Lediglich auf der Kamara muss die Einstellung auf "Fernauslöser" umgeändert werden. Schon kanns losgehen mit den Selfi's .

It functions alright, no useful manual, battery was empty, I was tempted to send it back as it did not function first, then I changed the battery. I think a short manual is necessary.

I am thrilled with this little gadget that works well with my Sony NEX7. Works on bulb and any other setting when you can't have hands on camera use. I don't mind that the remote must be pointed at the sensor since you have about a 180 degree range (watch out for long lenses blocking the sensor from one side). I used it to photograph birds at the feeder when I was about 8 - 10 feet away. It comes with battery and neat little cloth bag. An accessory that is so light and small, it's easy to add to your camera bag. And the price is terrific.
