Shankar ranks 10/10
Having heard Ravi Shankar many many years ago, I developed a liking for Indian music and rhythm. Mystic sounds for peaceful meditation or upbeat and uplifting sounds to get your blood pumping. India has it all. Ravi Shankar is a great ambassador for the music and culture of India and her people. Brilliant, colourful and altogether inspiring.

Excellent value sampler
Great value for money and an easy sampler if you don't know which of his records to buy individually.I'm not so keen on the lecture disc (? I'm relying on an old memory of it and can't remember exactly what it is), but even so there are 3 great discs here and one with curiosity value.

A brilliant collection of early albums = both stimulating and mind expanding. Loved all of it !!

this is still of superior quality. Also the sound quality is superb
My review may be slightly biased as i am a major fan of Ravi Shankar.But despite beinga cd from his early years,1956-1962,this is still of superior quality.Also the sound qualityis superb.I would highly recommend this to anyone who is interested in Indian music

Six albums on 4 CDs,excellent value and wiuth music like this,i don't mind a repeat or two,as I already have some of this already.
