I bought this light due to it’s uniqueness and style. I had read issues around the quality of the gold on it but thought I would take a punt and see as it wasn’t hugely expensive. It arrived promptly and well packaged and was in perfect condition despite the negative reviews it looked great. However the plug is seriously enormous and completely ridiculous but I can live with that. However the switch to operate it was not at all responsive. You try pressing it and it did nothing. Then you try holding it down and it does something but when you perform the same action the light changes setting quickly then goes off. To be honest it was so finickety that I nearly sent it back but instead delegated the job of turning it on to my daughter (who has more patience than me) after a week or two it is much more user friendly. You have to tap (quite firmly) the illuminated switch to change the light settings and after a while it became more responsive. I love the light now and have it on every evening and really does look beautiful. And it’s had a couple of “Wow”s from our visitors so it certainly has that appeal. I would just say, persevere with the operational side of it and it will pay off.

Very impressive light. Looks much more expensive than it was

This lamp looks great and provides a great variety of light, but the plastic ends to the spiral and the "one-touch" control means it falls short. The plastic ends cheapen the look of the whole thing, and mean it doesn't quite sit flush on any surface. The one-touch switch is irritating as you have to cycle through all options in order to turn it off and on, and go all the way bright before you can dim it. There are too many options crammed onto too simplistic an input method. Value for money here is excellent, but it's just a little... not quite right.

Such a great stylish side lamp

Firstly, I have to say that I really like these lamps, but there are a few issues I have with them. Beginning with the most important to me, is that they are not compatible with smart plugs for switching on. Okay, so they’re not advertised as such, but more or less everything in my house is connected to Amazon Alexa, either by their native compatibility, or by using smart plugs. The issue with these lamps is the switch on the mains cable, which means they have to be manually switched on. You can’t just leave the switch turned on and have the smart plug control power for you. They can however, be switched off using Alexa, so although it’s not a complete loss, it is somewhat frustrating. Secondly, the switch itself is annoying to operate. It’s not a push button, so more like a touch-sensitive button, but it usually takes me a good 5 attempts to get the pressure right to turn the lights on, or change the colour setting. Lastly, the plug. For such an elegant lamp, they could have put a little more design consideration into something better. It measures 11cm out from the socket. Couple this with a smart plug, then it protrudes halfway across the living room! Okay, that’s an exaggeration, but unless you’ve got fairly discreetly hidden sockets, you’re going to be able to see the mammoth plug. The actual lamp is great, in that I love the design, the amount of light it gives off and the 3 different white light settings. I actually opted to use these together with a silver vase with some decorative flowers and I think they look great and have two positioned either side of the sofa. Overall, it’s a solid 5 stars on the lamp, but everything from the wire down, drop the score to 3 stars. Would I buy again? Only if they did something about the design flaws.

Looks good in the room. The 3 different light settings are great and can be selected depending on mood/need. The brightest setting is plenty bright enough. Just one small point - if you connect this to a smart plug, it defaults to 'Off' when you deactivate the smart plug. When you activate the smart plug, the lamp does not come back on so you have to switch it on manually (it has a touch switch for on/brightness level). A minor point but worth a mention - not enough to stop it being 5 stars though IMO.

I bought this product. It was very easy to set up and for the hour that it functioned correctly, it was a pleasant enough, cheap, lamp. It has three different light settings, all ideal for lighting up any room, and all bright enough for reading. Unfortunately, the plug became super hot and the light itself turned into a strobe light, definitely not ideal for reading or relaxing. I had to wait for the plug to cool down before it stopped with the strobe effect, but within 15 minutes the plug was hot again and the strobe effect started again. I returned the lamp and am currently waiting for my refund.

This is so nice to use, glows sweetly in the bedroom. Beautiful shape. Good quality and value for money.
