Was a great buy very simple to install and program
Was a great buy very simple to install and program, it all works so well with dvd's from other regions. Live streaming of Netflix was easy to install just need to know your password. OH AND IT DID COME WITH A HDMI CABLE so save a few dollars, ill use the one i ordered somewhere else guess sometime. With this played you get the best of all the world you can play DVD's from all regions unlike the ones bought at a electronics stores which only play DVD's from USA and Canada.

Great picture quality from this Blu-ray DVD player
Very sharp HD video and impressive audio as well from a smooth, silently operating player. A great buy without any fancy bells or whistles. Since there's no lights on the panel I just make sure the TV is still on and set to DVD input when I shut down the DVD player to confirm that it's fully off.

Worst design ever
Worst design ever. There is no power ON light to tell if it is on or not. I am sure it is on because I can feel a slight hum when I push the power button. And that is the most it does. Pretty much DOA. Samsung should be ashamed to have their name on this. I bought it to replace a Phillips that worked well for a couple years and then decided to work OK for between 2 to 3 hours and then lock up. Only unplugging gets it back. Now instead of throwing away the Phillips, the Samsung is heading for the trash and the Phillips get to live until I buy something other than a Phillips or a Samsung.

Very good multi region DVD player
Bought the region free DVD player in order to watch my British region 2 DVD's. No problems so far. Installation is a piece of cake and I was watching the region 2 DVD's within a matter of minutes. I do not have any Blu Ray region 2 but I would not anticipate a problem. Great to be watching my 200 or so region 2 DVD's so I do not have watch and listen to all the presidential debates, commercials and negative slagging which were getting on our nerves. I fully recommend this dvd player if you simply want to watch overseas DVD's. The only negative is there is no indicator light on the front of the unit so you do not know is the player is on or off. This is the only reason I downgraded to four stars.

As Advertized
I found that the unit identified discs from different regions all on its own, at least between the US and England. To use the unit is intuitive. As I was replacing a Blu-ray unit that on;y played US discs, it was easy to remove the old unit and use the same plug for the new one. Works well. Completely satisfied with it.

Just a pain to set up in WiFi mode had to hard wire it
It is not a user friendly unit. Never came with the blu ray or 4K disc

We returned this item because it played the region B ...
We returned this item because it played the region B disc only once when we first set it up and would not play it again. The remote smelled of smoke and no where on the item itself did it indicate that it was actually a multi region player. The player itself only indicates that it plays region A discs and the model # is J5100 (not J5100-RF).

Brill region free bluray
Exactly what i was looking for. Plays my British dvds without an issue. Automatically plays without issue after watching an American bluray. Tv is also Samsung so can control volume and power with one remote.
