Great light for dusk to dawn.
Ok, I am an expert installing these things. Hurricane have destroyed about three in the past two years. I have this mounted on a tree for my backyard. Pros: This is cast aluminum and somewhat durable. It is a good price for the import quality. The sensor lasts a long time and is very sensitive. Tip: When you install to test the unit, have some one hit the breaker switch to turn back on, (Off always during install period). The lights will light up and then go out to show that the install was right. Use the wire nuts included and be safe on the ladder. Always easier with two people. I would definitely recommend this to a friend. Also if you put in bright flood lights like a 1000 lumen, flood leds are the best. Enjoy.

Great Light
Per my previous one star rating, I attempted install of this item one month after purchasing. After installing, the light would flicker on and off in the evening. I experienced the same issue and as par for the course, Amazon jumped in and provided overnight shipping with a replacement. I completed the install with the replacement and everything is working great. I have this eave mounted and using two Hyperikon BR30 LED Bulb, 9W (75W equivalent), 2700K (Warm Glow), Wide Flood Light Bulb, 120° Beam Angle, Medium Base (E26), Dimmable, UL-Listed and Energy Star-Qualified. Few items to consider: -A few other reviewers experienced the same issue I did upon initial install, where the light turns on and off every ten seconds or so in the evening. -A bad photocell seems to be the culprit. Not sure if there was a bad batch, but like the other posters, once a replacement was received, it fixed it. -This is meant to mount to a junction box, however, the light I replaced mounted ease under the gutter, so I picked up a few wood screws to mount the brace which worked without issue. -While I tried nearly every configuration with the bad unit to no avail, the new one worked without issue after install. However, after attempting to re-position, the light turned off intermittently slower than the bad model. Once I moved back to working position, no issue. -Eave mounting works, just remember to keep the lights shining down and be cognizant of reflective sources (e.g. gutters) that could interfere with the sensor. My final working configuration has the sensor pointed down (14ft high) with both lights in the opposite direction. I contemplated 4 stars given a few known issues and the having to reinstall, but for the price and ease of install, this deserves 5 stars. Amazon also deserves 5 stars for their rock star customer service. Not sure why anyone would shop elsewhere in this day and age.

PAR bulbs required
These require PAR bulbs for the sensor to work properly. Other than that it is a nicely made unit, easy to install, and works well as long as the proper bulbs are used.

Happy with lights, functioning well x2 months
I used these to replace 2 units without photo sensors (guesstimated at about 10 years old). "Good" quality by today's standards (okay ... starting to sound like an old timer here, aren't I ...). Housing appears decent strength, finish is fine for distance from which it will be viewed. Not too bad to adjust the aim of bulbs - about like other similar lights of decent quality with which I've worked. Gasket is ... HA HA HA!!! ... basically flimsy and a complete joke. Machine bolts were too short for my application (junction box recessed 1/4 - 3/8" above down-facing plane of soffit, mounting flush to soffit) so I dug up some longer ones from my stash. Used my own wirenuts so I had correct size for # and gauge of wires given wiring configuration in my application (but to be honest, though small, at least the wirenuts that were included had metal threads in them). The 2 units I bought look good and function well, turning on and off appropriately, over 2 mo or so they've been up. I put exterior flourescent floods in them and they work as expected. I'm hoping for quite a few years of service and based on the "decent" build quality, while I may not get 20 years, I think they'll probably do okay. I don't like reviews "right out of the box," that don't put the product through its paces, but I don't figure a review years down the road will be helpful. These seem to NOT be your budget cheap-o junk stuff, but aren't really high end either. Seem to be good compromise for value. I'd say I'd buy it again but if I'm doing that soon, it's because they failed and then I'd probably not be as happy. So for now I'll say I recommend them for those looking for good value on basic dusk-to-dawn flood light :) ====================\ update - they are still going strong over a year later. Happy with product. As above, still think they are "good" quality, not top quality so I'll stick with 4 starts, but for price, over year without trouble, I would recommend them and would not hesitate to buy them again or recommend them. Just know you may need/want to use your own bolts, wirenuts, etc.

Sturdy, look and work great. Great value for price!!
Finally decided to replace the broken floodlight fixtures on our house and we are totally pleased with these lights! They are sturdy, straightforward installation, look great - and the sensors work great for the dusk-to-dawn feature. The quality is excellent especially considering how inexpensive these are. Highly recommend!!

NO NEED for a photocell fixture.
There is now NO NEED for a photocell fixture. Just install a standard receptacle and screw in dusk to dawn spotlight bulbs. I bought and had electricians install three of these dusk to dawn fixtures exactly a year ago. One photocell just failed. One year only of service is not acceptable. The price of the product is cheap but the installation and now replacement is very expensive. I will replace with a standard fixture with no photocell, then install dusk to dawn spotlight bulbs. Same result. Less complicated. When the bulbs fail I will just replace them.

I ordered this light and it stopped working. The warranty ran out by 14 days for a replacement, after making an inquiry, the item was replaced no questions asked. Customer service was great. Thank you!
