Terrible Mounting for LGA 1150 Sockets
First of all, this might be a fantastic cooler for other types of sockets. I wouldn't know, but this review only applies to sockets like the LGA 1150.It comes with a variety of bases to be compatible with various microprocessor sockets. LGA 1150 users are left with those cheap plastic push pins. That's fine for Intel's cooler, but this thing is WAY too heavy, and the connection WAY too tight, to make that viable here. Long story short t is EXTREMELY difficult to mount this thing properly. I finally got it mounted, then later in my build I accidentally hit it and it immediately popped right out. If it's hard to install before the mobo is in the case, it's shape makes it nigh impossible once the mobo is mounted. And to think, all these problems could have been averted with a backplate and 4 screws. I ended up just using Intel's included cooler.

This is a really good heatsink! I highly recommend it
This fan is quiet and works really well. Its big, but is just small enough to fit in a Corsair Spec 03 case . It currently is idling at 1900 rpm and the cpu is at 43 degrees Celsius. Very affordable heat sink, and highly recommended.

Better than stock, fits well in most cases
I've used this heat sink for the AMD A-series APU's and the FX series. They are way better than stock, they tend to fit (height wise) in micro ATX cases, but I would be hesitant to use it as a gaming cooler. It might do the job, but there are better coolers out there that will dissipate better.
