No nonsense, does what it should do
Firstly, as usual, the product arrived fast and in good condition. The plastic case is exactly what you'd expect at the price. It'll keep the unit safe and clean, but it's not ultra strong or particularly good looking. The product looks great, the markings are clear and the dial rotates well, but sticks a little so you don't have to worry about knocking it and having it move during use. There's a spare backpiece in the plastic case with a piece that you can use to bolt the device to things. I've used the device to calibrate my table saw blade to both the table saw and fence. It worked perfectly. I prefer analog measurement devices over digital, as I find I'll only use this kind of thing once or twice a year, and don't want to worry about dead batteries. Would by again without hesitation.

Great dial indicator for the money
I've used this a few times in my shop and I really like it. I've set up my table saw fence up with it and I checked the run-out of my table saw blade. I have had no issues with it or the base. If you're looking for a nice dial indicator for your shop that won't break the bank...I'd consider this one from Clockwise Tools.

Almost perfect.
Works good for centering work piece in the 4 jaw chuck for ruffing in, but once in a while the indicator sticks for a moment. Hasn't been a big problem. I can live with it.

Good Deal
Easy to read, does what is should, good price for the quality. Not the best I've ever used, but for that price pretty good.

A tool I never knew I needed
For the money, this is a handy little tool that I never knew I needed. I just finished restoring a 1948 Atlas metal lathe and after using this little guy, realized it was out of true by about 10/1000... Works well with the magnetic base you can buy on Amazon or Harbor Freight.

If your buying to use the Case - Forget.
I needed a decent 0-1 inch dial indicator to replace the cheaper one I had for 25 years. I needed to store it when traveling, So this has a nice case that comes with and has Rave reviews. Of the other three indicators I own, none had plain backs. So proceeded to put the lug back on to use. LOL with the lug back on, the nice case is now useless! No way will it fit inside. Not enough room to cut a slot in the bottom for the lug. The indicator is nice and works well but no case to store in.

Great deal
Nice instrument. Works good, has a decent amount of weight to it gives it a quality feel. The case it comes in is a joke. Don't these companies know once you screw on the mount you never take it off? Be sure to look at the "calibration" paper that comes with it. The serial number on the gage didnt match the paper. lmao. I would have been surprised actually if it did! I would buy again however.
