This has worked pretty well on an older aluminum boat that had two layers of paint, The second layer was applied over a poorly prepared surface but it was still a thick layer in many places. What worked was this stripper with a wire wheel on both a drill and a wire wheel on a grinder. This stripper would soften the paint and the wire wheels would remove it easily. I did it outback/outside - it does make a mess with my method, but the removal was way faster than just the wire wheels without the stripper.

Never used paint stripper till now, watched utube videos and decided to try this stuff and gotta say I'm impressed. I did not clean much engine grease off and it cut through that and still peeled paint would buy again

It doesn't remove exopy as easily as it says it needs to set in a bucket with a lid for a few days to break it down

This removes stain right away. You will need a well ventilated area and a bristle brush. This will save you so much time sanding.

I used this to remove stubborn gasket material during an engine repair and it was very effective.

Great product but please wear mask while using because it has cancer causing materials but what doesn't.

I was using an old can of Jasco Professional Strength paint stripper and ran out of stripper, so I order a new can - wrong. The new formula Jasco, in the same red can, had almost no effect stripping enamel from a sheet of aluminum. I had successfully stripped one side of the aluminum sheet with the old formula Jasco. With the new formula Jasco I tried an extended wait time of 30 minutes, re-coating, aggressive scraping - nothing worked. It seems most of the "trusted" brands of stripper have been reformulated and boast having a "Non-Methylene Chloride Formula", read that as "buyer beware". The only stripper that looked aggressive is prohibited for delivery to Colorado. I will be returning the can of Jasco and using a heat gun to finish the job.
